I don't use my Pixel2 phone for 'media' EVER but I wanted to test a
hearing-aid app with my bluetooth earbuds (unused for maybe 2 years).
So I turned on youtube. searched for Ray Charles. Tapped. Got a
30-second commercial and then nothing. Apparently no way to get to my
choice. Tapped again. Got another commercial. Gave up.

I would have thought that youtube, of all possible apps, would be
completely intuitive. Guess I was wrong.

The app worked nicely. Tested my hearing, Amplified nicely. TOO
nicely. I could hear everything (including clicks for taps on the
screen), but with a 1/2-second delay and I could hear the original sound
real-time (obviously). Nice for the limited number of things where a
delay wouldn't matter, but I can't think of one offhand.

So far the $250 Audien Atom Pro aids (we each use one; two don't seem
to be necessary) are really good for TV. The volume adjustment involves
a tiny screwdriver, but that's not a problem if you only use them for
TV. 45 days to decide. So far so good.

Of course two are enough. This is how my friends do it. He says
something. Then she takes out the hearing aids and he puts them in his
ears. Then she says something. Then he gives the aids to her, she puts
them in and he says something.

And so forth.

Thanks for the suggestion, although I'm not married. I don't know who I
