Bicycle races are a large part of the Island's economy and its advertising as a vacation spot. But it is hardly likely that the would take actions against a local.

Any particular reason you thought she's a local?

Crossing the street while looking down at her phone suggests familiarity of the area.

I think you got your title for this thread a bit wrong. "attacks cyclist"? We can ask Jay the lawyer but I doubt many judges would allow that description in a court of law. I have no comment on the crash. My comments are directed at the size of the cyclist crashing. Its a mountain bike race. But the bicycle racer seems to have a large amount of heft and girth to him. As well as the pedestrian he crashed into, and the woman on the side of the road looking down the road. The official name of the race was "Cicloturista Condaca Salmor Bike". So maybe they let any and all cycle tourists participate in the race?

Yep, in the eye of the beholder.

John, I just watched a video that showed a fully operational WB50 that is operated by the Nevada Air National Guard. They also showed what must be a privately owned B50. It might have been an animation but I don't think so. From the way the gun turrets were moving it appeared that they were all operated from one central station - is that so? Another thing that bothered me was that the propellers of the WB50 were all horizontal and vertical. Were these set that way or did the engines always stop in that position?

I have no comment on the crash. My comments are directed at the size of the cyclist crashing. Its a mountain bike race. But the bicycle racer seems to have a large amount of heft and girth to him. As well as the pedestrian he crashed into, and the woman on the side of the road looking down the road. The official name of the race was "Cicloturista Condaca Salmor Bike". So maybe they let any and all cycle tourists participate in the race?

I learned my lesson about that. Locally we have a very long crossing. People tend not to wait at the "wait here" and instead go up to the stop light line. I did that once and was hanging out onto the tracks. Now this should have been OK because it has an all way stop and gives the crossing direction a green light so that anyone that is up to the stop line can drive away. Well, some horses ass at the front of the line was fiddling with his phone instead of watching and he didn't move until the three cars behind him laid on their horns. I just cleared the tracks in time. So you can bet I don't trust any of these idiots now and always wait at the "wait here" line if there's a red light. And to hell with the people honking at me to move up.

The B-50 and the B-29 both had a central fire control position which
was a small clear dome in the top of the fuselage forward of the aft
top turret, roughly in line with the two side domes. The CFC could
take control of the 4 fuselage gun turrets although normally the two
side turret gunners had control of the lower turrets. I believe that
the tail turret could only be controlled by the tail gunner.

The props stopped wherever they wanted to (:-) and the ground crew
would push them into some sort of even position usually with two
blades straight up and down as it made it simpler to walk under the
wings, but I don't remember any policy regarding parked prop position.

Prior to engine start it was required that the props be turned two
complete revolutions by hand to ensure that there was no "liquid
lock", i.e. oil leaked into lower cylinders, which might cause engine
damage when starting.
