He is though he’s in a job where retirement medical is a fair probability!

See Martyn Ashdown who is a wheelchair user now, and has the most amazing
trike, designed by a wheelchair user him self and what it can do is
staggering, clearly at a cost! But even so impressive bit of kit!

The USA has the longest recorded history of the USA continental climate. There IS no man made climate change and despite the NOAA and NASA environmentalist wackos who are quite purposely reporting the MGT falsely we have have the US weather service which is showing just the opposite. That the temperature is following the historic cycles and is cooling down. I wouldn't worry too much about it since it will take 200,000 years. All of this climate change bullshit is these nutcakes means of demanding that there are too many people on Earth and that we must take actions to reduce the population. Now this isn't just a wild eyed super minority because in the UN they were talking about putting poison in the food sent to Africa. So not only were they suggesting murder but a level of racism never seen since Hitler.

I see... "cooling down"? And thus the polar ice is becoming thinner,
Glaciers disappearing, the oceans are rising.

Yup, makes perfect sense

Not that I give an F about Antarcica but it was also an
unusually cool summer here as reflected in pathetic garden
tomatoes.

Yup. An amazing 4.5 degrees colder then the most recent 30-year
average.

Your point is the logical equivalent of carrying a snowball into
congress to prove there's no climate change happening.

au contraire.

I'm well aware that climate changes. When young, I worked
briefly at a limestone quarry, a couple hundred feet of
sedimentary rock laid down a millimeter at a time in a warm
tropic sea with plenty of shellfish. That same area was a
mile deep under a glacier later. Change is normal.

John, do you just go along with any stupid political idea to be popular? Polar ice thins and thickens in cycles. In 1638 a Portuguese trader sailed from Japan straight back to Europe across the north polar ocean. In 1954 the USS Skate surfaced at the north POLE in clear water and the following year so did the USS Nautilus. There was a claim that the Antarctic ice was thinning but that was on a penensula under which an underwater volcano had become active. Then again they claimed that when there was a crack in the Antarctic ice at where one of the glaciers met the sea that it was "proof" that the climate was warming - glaciers have ALWAYS calved - that is what happened to the Titanic.

When people want to make themselves feel important by making a sucker out of you, you should be smart enough to figure it out.

Frank, did you have a problem reading that chart that showed NO average temperature change overall? In the temperate regions there is a slight reduction in the Mean Global Temperature by direct measurement. The NOAA has falsified the data simply by using satellite data that only represents the upper atmospheric temperature.

"Over the last three decades, the South Pole has experienced a record-high statistically significant warming of 0.61 ± 0.34 °C per decade, more than three times the global average."

Nature magazine. Do you think they know more about weather at the south pole than a newspaper in Washington DC? The names might suggest they do. Nature vs Washington Post.

Your post about the coldest south pole record actually confirms the second very very very important fact about climate change. #1 fact is the earth is rising in temperature. It correlates really really really well with humankind's use of fossil fuels. Correlation or causation? #2 fact is the extreme variability this climate change brings. The highs and lows too, are much broader, greater standard deviation, higher maximums, lower minimums, than previous to climate change.

https://www.wunderground.com/hurricane/articles/most-active-hurricane-seasons
Another fun fact to prove, support my #2 fact of the extreme variability caused by climate change. Number of hurricanes each year. In the above link is says 10 or the top 15 most named hurricanes each year have occurred since 2000. Past 21 years. The records go back to 1851. 170 years and 10 of the 15 years with most named hurricanes are all within the past 21 years.

Perhaps you'd like to prolong a conversation about "records" that are set over what is a small part of a century? Maybe you're unaware that ALL of the world's high temperatures were set in the 1930's? You know when we had a Great Depression and many many farmers moved to California where the ocean moderated the temperatures?

Tell you what, pretend that you know something like John does by cutting and pasting crap off of the Internet posted by nutcakes like yourself.

Uh, Portland set its all-time record a few months ago. 116 degrees. https://tinyurl.com/6mz82y9k It broke records three days in a row. The last time I checked, 2021 is not the 1930s. The City started keeping records in 1890.

Jay, do you have to FORCE yourself to look stupid? Portland Oregon had 5 days of over 100 degrees in July of '42 Portland had NO reported daily average temperatures before 1940 for some reason. No temperature charts are available. And while you had higher than normal temperatures in Portland we have lower than normal here with up to 18" of rain in some areas and 4" which was way above normal here. This is called weather variability. Did the USS Skate surfacing at the North Pole in clear water in 1954 mean global warming?

You confuse cause and effect and while you can argue the causes of
"global warming" you can hardly argue that it is taking place. Or
perhaps being you, you can argue, but at the present rate of ice
thinning in both the North and South it is estimated that sea levels
may become as much as 4 feet higher and I read that the lowest point
in San Francisco is only 5 ft above sea level.

Dear Dope, you said all heat records were set in the 1930s. That is wrong. Portland set its heat record(s) in June 2021. Portland has been keeping daily records since the late 1800s and not 1940. Read this: https://mrcc.purdue.edu/FORTS/histories/OR_Portland_Grice.pdf Highest temperature every year back to 1875: https://www.currentresults.com/Yearly-Weather/USA/OR/Portland/extreme-annual-portland-high-temperature.php See if you can find another 116F day. [spoiler alert: you can't].

Nope Tommy, wrong again. The earth's average temperature was 57.12
degrees (F) in the 1930's and 58.12 in the 2000's.

And farmers didn't move to California because of the lower
temperatures, they moved to (hopefully) find jobs.

Tony Heller shows how the old NASA had a complete set of records and then after Al Gore told them that they could get more R&D money to find climate change they actually changed their temperature records. Even better they completely erased the little Ice Age and the Medieval warm period to support Dr. Michael Mann's "Hockey Stick" temperature prediction that never occurred, then NOAA became part of the Michael Mann suck-ups by modifying more temperature records.

Michael Mann bragged that he had made $2.8 Million off of making that prediction.

All of this climate change bullshit is these nutcakes means of demanding that there are too many people on Earth and that we must take actions to reduce the population. Now this isn't just a wild eyed super minority because in the UN they were talking about putting poison in the food sent to Africa.

Tommy boy, you writing about this Tony Heller, aka Steven Goddard, does not help your lies. He is known as a nut case by everyone. If you had an education, you would understand the importance of the references you use in an argument. But since you have no education at all, you are ignorant of these things. I realize you are old, but it is not too late to get an education. Study, learn, become a thinking person!!!!!

Perhaps you'd like to explain to us what credentials you have in climate science of any sort?

I find it very interesting that that idiotic website that you cited actually spend a great deal of time repeating Tony's postings. And no time supplying any serious refutations. Tony has written search routines that go through the ACTUAL DAILY REPORTED TEMPERATURES in all of the major cities in the USA reported in all of their major news papers. So who is refuting these?

APCO Worldwide Background: APCO has been described as “one of the world’s most powerful PR firms.” And why are they the most powerful PR firm?
Because they are owned an operated by the legal firm that represents Philip Morris Tobacco and other related Philip Morris Group

Hugh W. Ellsaesser Credentials: Ph.D., Meteorology. What is his position?

“I am one of the strong supporters of the proposition that the available records indicate climate warming over the past century or so. It’s just that I don’t believe the observed warming is due to an increase in greenhouse gases.”

In other words he actually SUPPPORTS the position of Tony

Alfred (Al) Pekarek Credentials: Ph.D., University of Wyoming (1974). B.A. University of Minnesota-Twin What is HIS position?

“Climate is certainly cyclical; we’ve got natural drivers, and we appear to have entered another cooling phase. On a positive note […] are there any benefits to increasing carbon dioxide? Absolutely yes. What are they? […] Higher crop yields […] this sometimes I think could be providential […] because under those trying circumstances [of global cooling], with more c02, plants might actually do better.”

In other words he too agrees with Tony.

Benny Josef Peiser Credentials: Ph.D. , University of Frankfurt (1993). Peiser studied political science, English, and sports science. His study?

“historian and anthropologist with particular research interest in neo-catastrophism and its implications for human and societal evolution.”
What is his entirely incompetent position? "Although Peiser has stated “I do not think anyone is questioning that we are in a period of global warming. Neither do I doubt that the overwhelming majority of climatologists is agreed that the current warming period is mostly due to human impact,”

So tell me? Are you telling me that a Tobacco company, two professors in climate related areas that AGREE with Tony Heller and a sociologist who is studying people like you are people that are "debunking" him? More interesting - they refuse to release the source of their financing.

We have had these sorts of discussions before. With each iteration you are losing more and more of your psychological grounding in reality.

You know nothing about science but you like to play one on TV. Good luck with that.
