What a shit hole! Why aren't you out there with your guns keeping the streets safe? With your staggering intellect, incredible physical strength and considerable fire-power, you should be saving Oakland. Instead, you're out lapping the same old streets on your bike -- grinding along, trying to hit a meager 5K. What a loser. Dump the bikes and go save the world! https://live.staticflickr.com/7384/9321820509_77e2fa5f38_b.jpg I'm hoping for the Girl Scouts in Portland. https://i.pinimg.com/originals/1c/98/56/1c98561654ab32dd991cb2d0093bba74.jpg

Also, try not to pull a gun on a cop. That didn't turn out so well for you the last time. http://sanleandrotalk.voxpublica.org/2013/07/20/no-good-deed-goes-unpunished-slpd-handcuffs-good-samaritan-ransacks-his-home-over-100-year-old-gun/

Tell me Jay, why would I need a gun? I could kill you easily without a gun. Do you know what the REAL people are? When I fell yesterday out on a gravel path in the middle of nowhere, I lost my phone without realizing it. I got to the end of the gravel and going through the gate I discovered that my phone had bounced out. So I carefully reversed my course all the way home and getting there I called my phone which was immediately answered on the first ring. It was a man that was out riding gravel along the same path and found the phone. He called Verizon in an effort to find out who owns it. In any case I drove 16 miles and picked up my phone at a multi-million dollar plus home in the Hayward hills. THIS is the real world of which you're not part of.

Tell me, at what point did you surmise that I pulled a gun on a cop? What would cause you to lie like that? The article was self descriptive and yet you lie after showing the exact opposite? Exactly what is going on in your head?

Well, I'm sorry for any misreporting, but this is what you said:

"I went over and opened the door with relief and told him he could come in. He saw me placing my pistol back in its holster and taking it back into my bedroom. Apparently he told me to stop and drop my gun from out in the driveway but I was too far away to hear him with the TV on and the young woman crying. I came back out and he was still standing outside so I went our to explain what was going on. I was wearing a T-shirt and pants and it was obvious that I didn’t have any sort of weapon on me. He drew his large caliber pistol and pointed it at my head from about a foot away. He demanded that I sit on the lawn until other officers appeared and then they HANDCUFFED ME!!! And made me sit out on the curb with all of the neighbors looking out and seeing the police leading me around in handcuffs. If they were so afraid that I might have a hidden weapon why didn’t they frisk me or even ask for an ID? This was done for one reason only – to give themselves time to ransack through my home looking for other possible weapons or drug or some such. And yet without a search warrant this was completely and totally illegal."

You opened your door to address a police officer while holding a handgun -- which seems like a stupid move. No? I would have put the gun down (and into the closest drawer) before opening the door -- and I would have turned off the TV -- and maybe combed my hair.

And are you threatening me? If so, I am now shooting you with my AR15 because I feel in danger for my life. You are dead, and with your obvious mental issues and issues with the police, I was totally justified.

And what about your phone and gravel crash? I rode five miles with a broken hand to get to a phone. I've ridden with a separated shoulder, broken ribs, facial lacerations -- all with no phone. I broke a crank riding out to Sauvie Island and had to pedal with one leg/scooter home 13 miles with no phone. FYI, it is really hard pedaling with one leg and trying to find some place to put your other leg. That's the real world -- one leg pedaling. I've also ridden in an ortho boot, which is like one-leg pedaling, but at least you have a place to put your other leg.

You don't know the real world. This is the real world: https://tinyurl.com/bhd9sx4r The Rock Garden Tavern where they graciously gave me some ice for my broken hand. Thank you tavern people.

I came back out and he was still standing outside so I went our to explain what was going on. I was wearing a T-shirt and pants and it was obvious that I didn’t have any sort of weapon on me. I hate to tell you this but there isn't a single law against holding a gun in my hand on my own property without even so much as that moron being able to interpret it as any sort of threat since I was not pointing it at him and was clearly putting it back into its holster.

Exactly why are you so afraid of guns? The FBI were interested in the reaction of this cop and now have his name on record. The San Leandro police reacted by pulling this guy's gun and making his job public relations at the farmer's market and it appears that he quit.

So everyone including his own police department found his reactions illegal.. For a lawyer why is it that you don't know the law?

Who is talking about the law. It is a stupid idea to greet the police with a weapon in your hand. No? And I have more guns than you, unless you have a freakish amount of guns. I'm not afraid of them -- well, some are pretty old, and I'd be afraid to shoot them.

Tom's damn lucky to to have been shot by the police.

So exactly why were you treating this as if I were breaking the law? That guy is probably no longer a cop anywhere since that blemish on his record would stop any PD from hiring him. You were perfectly willing to complain about the cops when it was them leaving BLM and Antifa alone as they burned your city, but somehow an obvious fool with a gun hiding behind a badge is OK as long as I was at the receiving end.

You have a lot of guns but Rittenhouse isn't allowed to in the mind of the great lawyer who is even willing to defame a jury finding. Why don't you volunteer to help re-charge Rittenhouse?

Look, it's Frank's twin.

In any case I drove 16 miles and picked up my phone at a multi-million dollar plus home in the Hayward hills.

Amazing. I see a few things that aren't quite right.

1. You rode home and immediately called your smartphone number.
Calling is good, but what you should have done is fire up your
computah and use it to locate your phone. For Android:
<https://www.google.com/android/find>
and Apple:
<https://apps.apple.com/us/app/find-my-iphone/id376101648>

2. I'm impressed that the person which allegedly found you phone
answered on the first ring. Normally, to answer a call, I need to
optionally unlock the phone, put my finger on the "answer" icon, and
slide (swipe) the icon sideways, before the phone will answer. I can
usually answer by the 2nd or 3rd ring. However, I'm familiar with my
phone, but the person who allegedly found your phone is not familiar
with your. It would take him some time and effort to work out the
procedure. If he caught it on the first ring, he would have had to
have been VERY familiar with whatever model phone you have. I just
tried to answer mine and was only able to do it by the 2nd ring.

3. Assuming the phone was locked, how would he know to call Verizon
instead of some other vendor? Verizon no longer attaches their logo
or name on their smartphone. See any logos on their smartphones:
<https://www.verizon.com/smartphones/>
There's also no VZW logo or name on the lock screen or the home
screen. In order to obtain the vendors name, the good Samaritan would
have had to dive into the phone, install a suitable app, and extract
the MCC/MNC country and network numbers (311/480 for Verizon).
<https://www.mcc-mnc.com>
I use Cellular-Z for the purpose on Android:
<https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=make.more.r2d2.cellular_z>
Just in case I missed something, I just dug though the settings on my
Android 11 phone and didn't find Verizon or VZW anywhere in the
settings. I do know some tricky ways to get that info from a locked
phone, but that requires someone familiar with field test mode. So,
how did he know to call Verizon?

4. If you call Verizon and tell them you found a lost phone, your
will be told to take it to their nearest dealer or store. They can
hand the details of getting it back to its owner.

5. I was wondering why you mentioned "multi-million dollar plus home"
and that he picked up the phone on the first ring. Neither item
seemed relevant to the effective delivery of your insult. My
guess(tm) is that both tend to elevate you in status. Having your
phone found by a wealthy bicycle rider rubs off on you and raises you
status far more than having it found by a mere mortal. After all,
important people only deal with other important people. Answering on
the first ring is an indication of status because important people
expect lesser individuals to answer them immediately, thus raising you
to the status of an important person.

Next time you contrive story for the occasion, please try to make it
more believable.

Jeff, it was a miraculous occurrence. Possibly akin to that old fellow
hitting the rock with a stick and the water coming out. Just open your
eyes wide and look amazed as Tommy's "reality" is somewhat different
then other folk's.

Why would he start now?

Jeff, since you've been participating in this forum, tommy's lies have only become more grandiose and elaborate. In recent months he gone from working at that company that created the tool used to isolate HIV to being personally involved in developing a cure for AIDS.

Would we not be the least bit surprised to find out the owner of that hayward hills mansion was the owner of the most successful data security software company in silicon valley who has positive proof that millions of voting machines in the USA were hacked to steal the election, and this owner also has proof positive that COVID-19 is a fabricated crises, and that this owner shared proprietary information with a random old dude whose phone he found, that was unlocked so that he could use it to call verizon? And that tommy helped him solve a software bug that had been plaguing a new product launch in a few minutes over a glass of the most expensive japanese whiskey ever produced?

Seriously jeff, you aren't thinking clearly.

Need you always be so ignorant? I looked carefully all the way back and so didn't need to know where the phone is since it was so obviously picked up by someone. It is pretty clear that you don't have any friends that might call you because you don't need to unlock anything to answer and incoming call. Always showing your supreme stupidity, on the unlock page, it SAYS Verizon. Why are you posting if you don't know this? Again, what do you know about Verizon? Apparently nothing since they said that they could only give the non-owner the phone number which was not helpful

As usual your idiocy ranges into the area where you cannot see the relevancy of a person who lives in a multimillion dollar near mansion walking on a bay trail, or perhaps riding since his car had a bicycle carrier on top.

Would you mind tell all of the people here why you would make such a posting from a point of absolutely NO KNOWLEDGE OF ANYTHING?

I see you're back to your old self again just when you were beginning to see that the Democrats like Jeff, Frank and Jay are literally destroying this country which would mean the end of your military retirement. But continue on making a fool out of yourself.

Well clearly you agree with Beto O'Rourk that what this country needs is a gun ban. You queers all stick together. Cum is very sticky I suppose.

Wrong. I'm a registered Republican.

By the way, nice change of subject to something you're familiar with.

If that were so why are you spreading the radical Democrat socialist line?

When the Pilgrims came to Plymouth Rock they were SOCIALISTS as were the people in Jamestown. Both colonies almost starved to death before the American Indian demonstrated the worth of Free Enterprise Capitalism to them. They changed from socialism to capitalism and because totally successful. So why are you such an ardent supporter of socialism and the lie and lie and lie that you've been repeating with every one of your stupid postings?

There is your lie again - you're the one that claimed my message was a pack of lies. What's it feel like to be a cripple on the edge of death?

Perhaps the finder was able to unlock the phone, go to settings, and
look at the APN.

A "multi-million dollar plus home" is not all that impressive in Silicon
Valley, lots of 1960's tract homes on small lots fall into that
category. Come January 1, the values of those homes will increase
significantly as SB-9 becomes law.

LOL, he didn't realize that there were people like you that could easily
debunk his story.

As an aside, it's a good idea to put some contact information on your
phone case, an e-mail address or a different phone number, so you can be
contacted if someone finds your phone. And put that on the lock screen
as well. I've found lost phones and it's hard to find the owner because
there's no identifying information.

On Android there's a Lock Screen setting that lets you add contact
information. On iPhone it's more of a hassle, you have to use something
like Microsoft Paint to create wallpaper with your contact information
added, see
<https://www.lifewire.com/add-contact-info-to-lock-screen-wallpaper-1701950>.

If Tom's story is true, then he was lucky that someone answered the
phone and that the battery didn't discharge before someone found it.

And of course, as you state, you can always use your computer to find
your phone (as long as it's on).

Scharf, you are a moron. Why do you think you know anything about any of this? Because you own a smartphone? This plainly shows why no one would vote for you again.

Well, Jay, Frank, John and Scharf all being good little sheep have all gotten their vaccines so within 5 years we'll see the end of them. My own risk assessment since I didn't take the vaccine and have low levels of health risks is 1% so I will feel so bad when you're gone.

>I see you're back to your old self again just when you were beginning to see that the Democrats out of yourself"like Jeff, Frank and Jay are literally destroying this country which would mean the end of your military retirement. But continue on making a fool out of yourself.

As I have told you a number of times. I do not, and never did, receive
a single penny of my military retirement.

I realize that you have difficulties in understanding what you read
but I just can't make it any simpler.

As for "making a fool" I really do find it so difficult to compete
with you. I envision you prancing around in the blue "skin suit with a
big red "SF" emblazoned on the chest. SUPER FOOL.
