Only 1200 euro? That is cheap. You can't buy a wheelset for that money. Stupid woman.

This isn't something that happens all that uncommonly. So why did they chose this woman to prosecute?

Crowds getting in the way has been one of the themes for a while, number of
riders did short video clips for TDF asking folks to give them space.

And well it really was very foolish of her and careless to put it mildly.

It was a dumb move by the spectator. There should be consequences.

But bike racers do really dumb things to other bike racers very commonly: sometimes a bonehead move causes huge pile-ups, injury, and damage. They can get penalties... of course. I am not sure how a broad view of justice works for these mishaps. It was not intentional.

Do you remember Pantani pushing through crowds of people to get to the finish line of a climb? People were standing directly in front of him and this was fully televised. Imagine what it was like when everyone was using flash film cameras in the 60's.

TDF has changed many things over the years, while I do like that you can
get close to the race, I’m personally not a fan of the race being altered
by fans, and frankly I watch to see the mountain not the crowds.
