Just saw this on the Windows newsgroup where if you have installed
*Network Signal Info* by KAIBITS Software GmbH
<https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.android.telnet>

You might want to read what they said about it over here:

Nefarious stuff it seems to be doing (read the report before responding).

Dated 2021. No mention they notified Google of possible privacy
invasion/theft for the apps they found using the Huq API. If they
really were concerned about privacy, why didn't they report the abuse?
Reporting to the general public (that happens to read their article)
does not mandate Google will investigate and possible ban the apps.

Hi Vanguard,

Your suspicions are perfectly valid as we know nothing more than what's in
the article. Luckily I tested all the free ad free network monitors and
wrote about it in the past, where this is my current set I'm testing.
<https://i.postimg.cc/CxdfBVg4/wifi.jpg>

Probably only one out of a thousand people will note in that article that
many apps were correlating the unique Android ID with the Advertising ID
(even when the Advertising ID was supposedly changed by the users).

All I'm doing is letting people know what is out there - but I have no
special access to information so I hope others can find out more than I.

And no, it's _not_ an honest mistake (which is impossible to happen).
