Scope Atmoz lets cyclists adjust tire pressure while they're riding .
https://newatlas.com/bicycles/scope-atmoz-bicycle-tire-pressure/

"The Scope Atmoz system can be preordered now, for a whopping €3,998 (about US$4,329) – that price does include both front- and rear-wheel modules."

I read somewhere else that it's going to be used on some bicycles during this year's iirc Paris - Roubaix race.

Cheers

Main feature: no powered compressor.

Speculating:
How heavy would a hypothetical, mechanical compresssor be, designed as
an add-on, and how much extra drag?
If there is neither a compressor of any sort, nor a major, mass balanced
CO2 reservoir inside the Atmoz, tire reflation cycles will be limited.

Quite a letdown, considering the pressure line not being integrated into
the HollairSpokeTM. Jan Heine Herse will have to help Scope with that.

I can't wait until UCI, in order to boost the sport's popularity in
honk-happy, emerging consumer economies, will also allow the use of
AirZound-type devices, at least on the final 200 meters -- Safety First!

I would say that is highly unlikely since weight is so critical in pro-races and that thing has to be at least and extra 2 lbs including the tube that needs to be run from the compressor hub to the tire valve.

Well, more expensive complexity is always better, right?

But to properly promote this, they need to claim it adds safety. You can
never be too safe.

The Paris Roubaix is pan flat so weight is apparently less of a problem.

No compressor apparently but a reserve of air. Guess see how it pans out on
Sunday!

I believe that P-R has been moved to October.

Come on Frank, it's a gotta have feature.

Good Lord! Think of all the time the time it will save stopping and
pumping up, or deflating one's tires as the pavement changes.

And think of the peace of mind to know that your tires are always
inflated to the perfect pressure.

And not only is it is much safer but think of the added speed, we all
know how much rolling resistance an improper inflated tire has.

Normally it is the week after Ronde van Vlaanderen. Because it was election day in France this year they moved it up one week. It is coming Easter Sunday. Last Sunday it was the only Dutch classic Amstel Gold Race. Was a great race, like all the races this year. Kwiatkowski won.

I guess I must have misunderstood Chris Horner who I could have sworn said that P-R was going to be moved to October.

There's talk about moving it, no plans yet

https://www.velonews.com/news/road/uci-president-lappartient-open-to-moving-paris-roubaix-and-tour-of-flanders-to-the-fall/

In other racing news, 19 year old American Magnus Sheffield won the semi-classic Brabantse Pijl last wednesday in a late solo breakway from a break away group of 7 with the likes of Tim Wellons, Remco Evenapol, and Tom Pidcock. Look to some great results coming from this kid.

That was an existing race indeed. What a knucklehead (Chris Horners words) that Remco Evenepoel.

Yes, if evenepoel played that better he wouldn't have got caught up in that "argey-bargey" at the end when Cosnefroy shut the door on him in the sprint, and "the push" earlier on was just bad sportsmanship. Still, having been in a situation where I was out numbered in a break by three to 1, I can understand his frustration. But then, I've been on the other side of that coin as well.

Can you imagine carrying an air supply to inflate your tires in the hub of the wheel and then using a smart phone app to drain your pressure down to the 50 lbs to do the cobbles and then reinflate them back to 80 lbs for the road sections? There is no way I can see this being practical for anyone other than pro racers on the extremely specialized cobbles classics.

Only last two years due to lockdowns etc, has been mentioned as a idea but
since the racing calendar is fairly chocker seems unlikely to be honest.
