The Saturday ride was about 24 miles with at least half of it into a stong, cold wind. Where is this global warming when you need it?

I have had ONE warm riding day this year and although you sweat a lot under the heavy clothing you need for riding on the flats when you get in the deep sheltered canyons, as soon as you're out in the wind again you're cold not from drying sweat but from 40 degree temperatures blowing in off the ocean where the coastal water temperatures are lower than the last 30 years according to the weather forecasters.

The present sky is clear and the sun is out but the wind is 25 mph with gusts to 40 mph, As I returned from taking my wife out to a Mother's Day breakfast, the two recyclable garbage cans that hadn't been picked up Friday which is the schedule, were blown over. I didn't want the neighbor's trash blowing in my yard so I picked it up and it was at least 125 lbs. A gust that would blow that over is pretty impressive. My can wasn't as heavy but most of the heavy weight was near the bottom where it should have held the container upright.

So despite the false prediction for light rain today, the wind makes riding just as if not more dangerous. Up on Skyline I have already been blown over directly into the pathway of a speeding car with a strong wind gust on deep aero wheels. So I have no intensions of taking any more of those chances..

Are you blaming Biden for the cold weather in California? I know Joe Biden is great and all powerful, but even I don't think he has the power to control the weather like a God. Tommy, are you implying that Joe is godlike? Wow.

Wrong. Again. Why do you lie 100% of the time?
https://www.ncei.noaa.gov/access/coastal-water-temperature-guide/cpac.html
This table shows the Pacific water temperatures for central California. At the bottom of the table is San Francisco. It says the temperature is 58.5 Fahrenheit. And all the columns to the right show the average temperature for the first and second half of the months through August. You will plainly see that the average temperature of the Pacific ocean water at San Francisco is 55 during the first half of May. Tommy, I know you are ignorant of mathematics. But I can assure you that 58.5 is bigger, greater, larger, than 55. So that means the Pacific ocean water at San Francisco is warmer right now. So despite you complaining that it is cold for your delicate body, the water temperatures are actually hotter than normal. Global warming..

My can wasn't as heavy but most of the heavy weight was near the bottom where it should have held the container upright.

When I was a city dweller, the trash and recyclable pick up was very reliable. I don't recall them ever missing their schedule. Except when it was a blizzard the day before or their was a major storm in process. Such as a tornado or massive hurricane like winds. And the trash/recyclable department would get the word out that there was not going to be a pickup.

I am more than 100% certain that the real reason your and your neighbor's recyclables were not picked up on Friday, and today is Sunday, is because you and he did not get the containers on the curb in time. The recyclables were picked up before you and he got the containers out. But you being Tommy, instantly choose to blame someone else. The trash/recyclable company. Instead of taking the responsibility yourself. Typical.

There were instances when I did not get my containers out the night before. So I would walk over to my neighbor's containers and lift the lid to see if the trash or recyclables had been picked up. If not, then I would happily put my containers on the curb knowing they would get picked up later. But if I saw the containers were already empty, then I did not bother putting my containers out. Knowing I had missed the pickup. And I would have to wait until the next week. And be sure to get my containers out early enough. Tommy, I suggest you be more responsible and put your trash and recyclable containers out well before the pick up people come along. It will help your mental anxiety and cause you not to make up new people to blame for everything wrong in your life. This is a very simple solution for you Tommy.

You were blown into the pathway of a car but did not get hit? Is that because the car was 200 yards up the road and there was no danger whatsoever? Or were your cat like reflexes so great that you instantaneously swerved back to safety? And how did you judge that the car was speeding? Above the posted speed limit. Do you carry a radar gun and use it all the time on every car you meet? Or is your perception and mental acuity so extraordinary that you can accurately judge everything around you precisely?

Only 25 mph? You have it easy. Today at 3:30pm, windy.com is showing
115 mph sustained winds in Ben Lomond.
