I find all the toing and froing about Covid vaccination a bit, well,
silly.

I read the following on
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC1069029/
"Smallpox vaccine is less safe than other vaccines routinely used
today. The vaccine is associated with known adverse effects that range
from mild to severe. Mild vaccine reactions include formation of
satellite lesions, fever, muscle aches, regional lymphadenopathy,
fatigue, headache, nausea, rashes, and soreness at the vaccination
site.13,18,19 A recent clinical trial reported that more than
one-third of vaccine recipients missed days of work or school because
of these mild vaccine-related symptoms."

It might be noted that in 1905 the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that "The
State may reasonably” infringe upon personal freedoms during a public
health crisis by issuing a fine to those who refused vaccination."

The site is popular among American right-leaning users. Rumble promotes itself as being "immune to cancel culture." As of 2022, according to analytics firm Similarweb, Rumble receives 44 million monthly visitors."

"For its first seven years, content on Rumble largely consisted of viral videos and news from mainstream media sources as well as videos of children and animals. In August 2020, however, Representative Devin Nunes accused YouTube of being overly censorious toward his channel and began posting his videos on Rumble. Other prominent conservatives, such as Dinesh D’Souza, Dan Bongino, Sean Hannity, and Representative Jim Jordan, soon followed.. Former US President Donald Trump officially joined Rumble on June 26, 2021, in preparation for recording his Ohio campaign rally."

"A lot of Rumble's traffic is referred from Parler. They include Del Bigtree, Sherri Tenpenny, and Simone Gold. According to a June 2021 article from Slate, "Pavlovski has recently become more outspoken in accusing Big Tech of censorship and now actively courts prominent conservatives and intellectual dark web figures to join Rumble."

"Rumble has also announced a partnership with OAN."

"On December 14, 2021, Trump Media & Technology Group announced that it entered a "wide-ranging technology and cloud services agreement" with Rumble in a statement which also stated that Rumble would operate part of Truth Social as well as TMTG+."

Tommy, Tommy, Tommy, I have told you almost countless times that the source of your support is very important. You cannot choose articles from nut case websites, such as Rumble.com, and expect to be believed. Please use better care with your support. Use factual, unbiased sources. Tell us Tommy boy, do you get your news about the Ukraine war from the TASS Russian News Agency? Do you think they tell the truth, nothing but the truth?

I don't read TASS but my experience with a number of news agencies is
that their facts are usually correct, however the way they the report
the facts is quite often, well, slanted.

I usually read Al Jazerra because they report international news
better then most of the U.S. news agencies and I've checked quite a
number of the facts that they have reported and the "facts" themselves
are always correct but the way that they are presented is probably not
as they would be reported by a U.S. agency.

I looked at the TASS website. And they are very fond of the terminology "Military Operation in Ukraine". That pretty much tells you all you need to know about the slant TASS has.

(:-) Well, what's in a name?
The U.S. didn't declare war in Vietnam, they called it a "conflict",
nor (I believe) did they declare war in Korea, or in Indonesia
although they certainly bombed the country.

Agreed. I also read and watch Al Jazerra for international (and
middle east) news. The only problem I have is when they report events
involving Israel, where they tend to be rather biased towards the Arab
point of view. Same with anything involving Quatar, which owns the
news service. Otherwise, they're amazingly objective.

I think... that "bias" in news reporting is largely a matter of (1)
what one's readers want to read and (2) the reporter's outlook.
A reporter writing about the poor, oppressed, Muslim, minority, in a
major Israeli newspaper might well lose his job (:-)

(3) What the owners, sponsors, and government want the news story to
say. While all of these promise and pretend not to influence
editorial policy, they do it anyway, usually by withdrawing financial
support. For my part, I'm interested in what the opposition is
thinking and doing. I don't see that in news originating from a media
source that is favorably biased towards my beliefs and politics. I
have a fairly good idea of what the countries I support favor.
Reinforcement of those beliefs is not necessary. What I don't know is
what the evil bad guys are thinking and doing, what they're telling
their supporters to believe, and some clues as to why they're doing
some thinks. So, I read whatever the competition has to offer and try
to understand their point of view.

>A reporter writing about the poor, oppressed, Muslim, minority, in a

The major sources from Israel sometimes have some
pro-Arab content to attract Arab readership:
<https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arab_citizens_of_Israel>
I subscribe and read these:
<https://www.jpost.com>
<https://www.haaretz.com>
<https://www.timesofisrael.com>
I sometimes see what I guess would be pro-Arab content. While these
articles don't take a pro-Arab political position, they at least
provide a clue that something is happening. However, they won't go so
far as to provide Arabic[1], Persian(Farsi), or other non-western
language translations, just as Al Jazerra does not have an edition in
Hebrew. If simple mention is not adequate, Arabic readers can usually
find pro-Arab content elsewhere.

The problem is where an event is reported in two ways, the story about
the Ukrainians removed from (was it the steel mill?). One side says
that they were removed for their own safety and the other side says
that they were kidnapped. Who to believe?

When I was in Vietnam I was asked "why a big rich country like America
want to make poor little Vietnam a colony?" Replace the French that
is. When I told people that "we (the U.S. ) was only there to help
them" I was looked at with considerable skepticism.

Re dialects? Do you know whether these are simply dialects, in the
sense of "Hey! You talk funny!" Or are they different enough that one
mob can't communicate with the mob next door?

Did anyone ask the Ukranians that were rescued/kidnapped from the
factory? Assuming the Russians haven't supplied impersonators, I
would be more likely to believe them.

Many of the US soldiers fighting in Vietnam as well as US civilians
asked themselves the same question. Despite some interesting
conspiracy theories (e.g. stimulate the US economy, save the world
from Communism), I've never seen a reasonable explanation. At this
time, my best guess is stupidity got us into the war, and stupidity
failed to get us out.

Sorry, but I don't know. These might help:
<https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Languages_of_Israel>
<https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arabic_language_in_Israel>
See the section on Dialects.
"Russian is by far the most widely spoken non-official language in
Israel. Over 20% of Israelis are fluent in Russian after mass Jewish
immigration from the USSR..."

My knowledge of Hebrew and Yiddish died about 40 years ago. While in
Israel, I managed using English, which was fairly common and a little
French, because that's what was spoken on the railroads. I never
attempted to learn the various Arab languages, dialects and alphabets.
The lingua franca spoken where I was living was a mix of Hebrew,
Yiddish, Polish, Russian, German and UK English (in that order). There
was no time to learn Arabic. I survived the culture shock, barely.

Well we were told, while there, we were fighting "to make the world
safe from Communism", which sounds pretty good. Then I ordered some
1/2" x 13 taps and when they arrived they were marked "Product of
Yugoslavia". Which made me stop and think a bit (:-)

Andy, do you really believe the Canadafreepress website has anything truthful and unbiased on it? Did you even bother to read the headlines for some of the stories on their website? I suspect Fox News, OAN, Newsmax could only hope in their wildest wet dreams to be as biased and right wing and Qanon nut job biased as Canadafreepress is. Canadafreepress seems to make those others look like left wing liberal Democrats in name only.

National Review? This is what appeared on Google when I put in National Review.
"National Review is an American semi-monthly conservative editorial magazine, focusing on news and commentary pieces on political, social, and cultural affairs. The magazine was founded by the author William F. Buckley Jr. in 1955. It is currently edited by Rich Lowry."
William Buckley. Now that is a name well known for unbiased truthful thought.

As for your third link, I do not know who that person is. A personal blog? Just a random stranger writing on the internet with no credentials or backing whatsoever? Did said person get their information from your first two links?

NYT famously wrote in early 2017 that the paper would no
longer offer objective reporting. Editorial positions on the
editorial page are one thing (and a fine thing at that) but
pervasive bias throughout the paper is quite another.

NYT is behind a paywall so I linked to some reportage.

Is there some kind of proof or something to prove this? Did the NYT put out a story proclaiming this? Did every other news source on the internet write a story about this proclamation? Links? That seems a bit wacky. Like the Wall Street Journal saying they were not going to publish the correct ending stock prices each day and just making them up. Imagine the WSJ writing on its front page "We are just going to make up stock price numbers every day."

OK. Understand that. Some places charge to read the story. Market Watch is the one that kills me. They have teasers of stories on the financial websites, and then when I click on them, I get the pay to read spiel. Hate that.

Sorry I should have put this into my other reply. When I clicked on the National Review link you provided up above, and read the story. This is what stuck out to me:

https://www.nationalreview.com/2017/06/new-york-times-public-editor-liz-spayd-fired-media-bias/
After Spayd told Tucker Carlson that some tweets by professionally neutral Times news reporters that displayed open contempt for and hostility to Donald Trump were “outrageous” and “over the line” and should face “some kind of consequence,”

So this wrongfully terminated editor for the NYT goes to Tucker Carlson for an interview about how biased or unprofessional the NYT is. Something does not sound right here. She complains the NYT reporters are biased and against Trump and lie about him or something. And she goes to Tucker Carlson for an interview. Hmmmm. Kind of like a southerner arrested for terrorizing and hanging a black man going to his KKK leader and complaining about how awful the police is for arresting him and giving him a citation.

This country is not made up of people like Jeff. It is made up of normal people who have had it up to their nose with leftist lies and distortions. This November is going to mark a change so large that even the Democrat party who has chosen election fraud as the only way they could gain office can overcome. And where does that leave people like Flunky and Jeffie? Russell is just some horses ass that goes anyway the wind blows and he isn't bright enough to have already seen the change in the wind patterns. He thinks that it is Climate Change. Frank is angry all of the time because as a teacher he was so often and so thoroughly exposed to communist ideology that he actually grew to believe it. Except when it pertains to him. So, why was he so vehemently against Trump when any moron with an IQ of 4 or above could see the USA coming back under Trump? Was he so brainwashed by the Slime Stream Media like the NYT or the Wapo that he became blinded at the growing confidence of this country? This paper he wrote is nothing more than a sterling example of everything that Trump stood for. So one would have to wonder why he was so anti-Trump?

This time actions are going to be taken against the plain election fraud of the Democrats. Governor Loathsome here has made election fraud simple, easy and legal and he is going to pay for it.

Yes, normal people who voted for Hillary Clinton 65,853,514 votes and Donald Trump 62,984,828 votes. Almost 3 million more votes for Hillary. Loser Trump. And normal people who elected Joe Biden 81,268,924 votes and Donald Trump 74,216,154 votes. 7 million more votes for Joe. Wikipedia provided the vote totals above.

I am worried too. The tendency for the American public to only focus on the short term gains or pains will override the long term advancements being done. Everyone wants Now Now Now. Never willing to wait for the long term greater gain.

USA coming back under Trump? You mean like an unemployment rate of 6.7 at the end of Dec 2020? Down from 14.7 in Apr 2020. https://data.bls.gov/timeseries/LNS14000000 And a US GDP of MINUS NEGATIVE 3.49% in 2020? https://www.macrotrends.net/countries/USA/united-states/gdp-growth-rate

Tommy, you consider that "coming back"? Well, I guess if you are at the very bottom of the septic tank and come back up to the top of the septic tank, you are coming back, I guess. Ignoring the fact you are still in the septic tank. Tommy, unemployment rate is now 3.6% for Apr 2022 under Joe.

Tommy, you are acting exactly like the fools on Fox. Back in early April when the jobs report for March was released, it was a gain of 430,000 jobs. Fox fools were of course expecting and anticipating a loss of jobs or a tiny gain in jobs. Not the big impressive 430,000 gain the Bureau of Labor reported. So they had big shocks on their faces and mumbled and grumbled for a few minutes not knowing what to say. Because they all had prepared remarks about how awful Joe was by destroying jobs. They eventually muttered something and tried to get in some snide remark about how it should have been even more job gains.

Do you understand what you are saying?

You go on and on about Voting Fraud" but, I read that, the Republicans
have now brought some 60 cases to the courts alleging voter fraud but
not one of the cases were accepted by the courts, which stated
overwhelmingly that they "are without merit".

So, essentially, if your claims are correct then you must be living in
the most corrupt country in the world.

Well, lets see here. Biden was said to have gotten some 7 million (of
the popular vote) more then Trump (noted that the popular vote does
not elect presidents) and the Trump advocates, i.e. Republicans have
brought some 60 claims to the courts of voter fraud... and the courts
have rejected the claims, refusing to hear them, as being without
merit.

And what does that tell you? Well, firstly the Republicans must be as
stupid as a pet rock not to have monitored the voting and vote
counting sufficiently well as to let the Democrats "stuff the ballet
box" and secondly, their legal advisers must be pretty stupid also, to
post so many claims to the courts, all of which were, apparently not
sufficiently factual for the courts to even bother to review them

So... the question then becomes, do you want to be ruled by some
clever, intelligent chaps, who can outwit the opposition? Or by some
blundering idiots, who apparently can't count?

I clicked on your link. On the website that popped up it had a "From President Donald J. Trump" message. Donald J. Trump was in a red banner. And it had a long spiel about how the 2020 election was stolen even though all the various courts in the USA threw out every single lawsuit. And all 50 states authorized and submitted electoral college votes. 306-232 final vote. But all of that is unimportant. What caught my eye was the signature below the Donald J. Trump spiel. Next to his picture. It was a bunch of white lines that maybe was a signature. But I am not sure. It was no name I could discern. Who signed it? What kind of education did someone who writes cursive that poorly receive? Their state education department and teachers should be investigated. How did they pass that person's cursive tests? This country needs some standards for writing cursive and a standard for signatures.
