I have been having progressively more and more problems with my neck from being so drawn out on the bike by some almost insultingly long top tubes.

As a rule, 56 cm bike will have a top tube of 55 or 56 cm's shorter bike may or may not be "over square".

But larger bikes usually have relatively short top tubes a 60 will have a 58 tope tube. But the Aerolite is a 58/60 which means you have to use a short stem which gives the bike very fast steering response.

Why would you build a frameset so distant from the main designs? I suppose pro racers might like these features but who else?

If today one can’t find a frame/bike that doesn’t fit or suits ‘his/her age’ then he or she is not looking very well.

Lou, a person that would comfortably fit a 58-60 is a freak. I'm asking why anyone would make a size like this. I have shorter than normal legs for my height and yet I ride a perfectly normally available 62-58 and the common 62-59 means that I have to use a short stem. After I got the Aerolite I found myself fitting a short stem AND pushing the saddle so far forward that the CG is too far forward.
