It should go without saying that the observations are shared by having a decent telescope just as anyone can visit the C3 camera, or to a lesser degree, the EPIC camera.

It is a unique spot on the Earth's surface insofar as the South Pole, like the North, does not rotate as a function of daily rotation, but rather rotates wrt Sun and the planet's divisor as a function of the Earth's orbital motion hence the long night, the extended dawn/twilight and the really extended daylight. That surface rotation extends to the entire Earth, although the observation is swamped by daily rotation.

Such a unique spot on the planet deserves a decent telescope everyone can visit through their computer.
