While looking for Michelin Pro4 tires there seems to be a real shortage of them.

In the process of looking around I dropped by the Nashbar site and they had an entire series of something called "Michelin Protek" tires. Is this a renamed model of some sort or perhaps that is simply Nashbar selling cheap Michelin tires?

ProTek is the Michelin term for anti-flat band under the
tread (other brands= Kenda 'IronCap', Panaracer 'TourGuard'
and 'ProTite', etc).

https://www.michelinman.com/bicycle/tires/michelin-protek

A quick perusal of widths and tire weight will show that
feature is not in the Pro series.

I just bought a case of Pro4 in Europe as there don't seem
to be any here in USA.

How do the anti-flat belts affect rolling resistance these days? I used them only for a while
back in the 1980s. They seemed to make the tires very, very slow. I could measure the difference
in coasting down a local hill. I decided I'd rather put up with an occasional flat.

I suspect it depends on how much of it there is, most road tires have
something even if it’s very thin.

Gravel/MTB tends to be the sidewall that is reinforced than a band under
the tread.

My Gravel tires like most have protection but are claimed to be class
leading for both protection and speed, they are slightly heavier than most
though it’s not noticeable.

These same tires were also being sold by Performance and the pictures of them were clear. They are some sort of deep tread long wearing commute tire or something. Totally irrelevant to performance tires.
