as a global reserve currency, but plenty of countries do just fine without

1. Constant use of patriotic mottos, slogans, symbols, songs, flags
2. Human rights suppression because of fear of an enemy and the need for
security
3. Unifying patriotic frenzy around eliminating a perceived common enemy
4. Glamorization and disproportionate funding of the military
5. Male domination of leadership and traditional gender roles
6. Control of the mass media, including state-sponsored media outlets
7. National security raised as the dominant agenda priority
8. Religious and political entwinement
9. Solidification and protection of corporate power
10. Suppression of workforce power, including banning of labor unions
11. Disrespect for higher education, science, and the arts
12. Obsession with crime and increasing police power, including a national
police force
13. Cronyism and nepotism in political offices
14. Discrediting elections and de-emphasizing the need for elections.

Keep in mind this is TEXTBOOK definition of fascism. If you don’t like the
name fascism but you endorse more than 7 of these characteristics, you are
nevertheless sanctioning fascism. Remember that all fascists rose to power
because the people WANTED a strong fascist leader. You may be one of those
people. I’m not. I am going to staunchly stand in your way if you try to
bring this about.
