I bought an 11 speed Super Record Group. It was pretty cheap. I already happen to have an extra 11 speed Super Record Compact Crank and these both have the same thing - the connecting bolt for the Ultra Torque crank goes in from the drive side.

Someone here had originally said that these bolts were titanium and went in the non-drive side.

Since there are two of these now, this cannot be because they were early versions since this just purchased group is a late version.

Also, the rear derailleur stop is broken, I haven't received the group yet (supposedly Saturday) but I had another Campy rear derailleur with this problem. I suppose that this stop is titanium on the Super Record. I asked my local shop to order me the stop and he said that Campy will need me to send it in to them and they will install the replacement.

Now a previous Record rear derailleur had the same broken stop. I had a junk Chorus derailleur that I robbed of the stop and while it was sort of tricky, I installed it against the spring tension and installed the circlip. So I wonder why Campy wants to install this part themselves? Any ideas?

Not to mention Super Record crankset, please! I really hurt myself when one of my old Super Record crankarms broke while I was sprinting. Ever since I've been using this aftermarket compact crankset (alloy cranks with steel chainrings); it's still going strong:

https://groups.google.com/g/rec.bicycles.tech/c/WnFGn-pcBrQ/m/sDAmJz5h-NgJ

It turns out that I like the steel chainrings because they are so durable. Who really needs alloy chainrings, anyway?

Connecting bolt is left hand thread. Don't forget that.

Don't forget to order some new special non-stretch campy shifter cables!

Maybe that's where I got the idea that the bolt was on the left hand side.

I can't imagine how William could break these cranks. He must have one hell of a sprint!

As with so many things ( Malibu, Camaro, Raleigh
International) Campagnolo used the Record and Super Record
names many times for utterly different products.
