In the meantime in the real world, however, GPS clocks
keep measuring t'=t, just like all serious clocks always did.

But but "They then compared the ticking frequency of the top and bottom halves, finding that the time experienced
by the atoms at the top of the cloud is 0.00000000000000001% shorter than the time experienced by those at the
bottom.", the article says.

And they measured the difference in the flow of time between the top and the bottom of a millimeter-tall cloud of
100,000 strontium atoms, the article says.

It means to measure Δf/f = 1E-19, it's written there, given a 0.00000000000000001% difference in 1mm height.

(The authors declined to be interviewed until the paper is published in a peer-reviewed journal.) it's written there.
Experiment "outcome" YES but an interview with our names NOT IN THE FUCKING HELL, the apologists said. NICE TRY, millennials.

If they "improve their clock’s sensitivity by about another factor of 10 — a few years from now, at the current rate of improvement —
they can start searching for gravitational effects in the behavior of their atoms", they say.

But, anyway, the amateur journalist and the team of "physicists" are anticipating that EINSTEIN IS PROVEN RIGHT ONCE AGAIN!

Please, reptilian lifeform, try to find a new way to make a living because YOU SUCK as a shill/troll advocate of Einstein and HIS GR.

G = 6.67430(15) x 10^-11 m3 kg-1 s-2 (NIST 2018, standard uncertainty in parenthesis)
Me = 5.9722(6) ×10^24 kg (astronomical system of units 2009, former IAU (1976), standard uncertainty in parenthesis)
Re = 6378137 m (IUGG equatorial radius)
c = 299792458 m/s (BIMP)

G.Me/(c².Re) = 6.9535 x 10^-10 (Best estimate of gravitational potential effect on Earth's surface at the Equator).

ΔT/T = 6.9535 x 10^-10 x 0.001/6378137 = 1.09 x 10^-19

So, for 1 second unit of time, these fuckers affirm that they measured a difference of 0.11 attoseconds (1 atto = 10^-18 sec)?

And all this effort, without the billions USD that LIGO team devoured to measure space stretching in the same order?

Just with a laser, and at the Jun Ye's lab in the University of Colorado?

GIVE THEM A NOBEL PRIZE RIGHT NOW, EINSTEIN'S WORSHIPERS DEMAND!

https://jila.colorado.edu/yelabs/people/ye

Dr. Jun Ye

Our research group explores the frontier of light-matter interactions. Precisely controlled lasers enable our communications with microscopically engineered quantum systems of atoms and molecules. By preparing matter in specific quantum states, and using probe light with the longest coherence time and precisely controlled waveform, we strive to make fundamental scientific discoveries and develop new enabling technologies.

The strongly integrated development of scientific vision and experimental tools has enabled us to advance important topics in precision measurement, quantum many-body physics, quantum metrology, ultrafast science, and quantum science in general. For example, we employ quantum gas of strontium atoms confined in optical lattices to achieve best performing atomic clocks and investigate novel quantum dynamics, combining quantum metrology and quantum simulation.

We prepare molecules in quantum degenerate gases to engineer tunable Hamiltonians for correlated quantum phenomena. These quantum-state prepared molecules are also explored for test of fundamental physics and study of quantum chemistry. Stable lasers and optical frequency combs are extending precision spectroscopy and extreme nonlinear optics from mid infrared to extreme ultraviolet, providing novel probes of large quantum systems, trace detection for health and environment, and new spectroscopy opportunities in a nuclear transition.

Then go there, quickly, and enjoy letting them to make you a new asshole besides your usual, with the "laser".

Maybe you can laid more eggs at a time. Hurry!

Paul Andersen strongly oppose to this results:

ΔT/T = 6.9535 x 10^-10 x 0.001/6378137 = 1.09 x 10^-19

So, for 1 second unit of time, these fuckers affirm that they measured a difference of 0.11 attoseconds (1 atto = 10^-18 sec)?

Indirectly, yes. Those "fuckers" sure are smart, aren't they. They keep
showing the anti-relativity cranks to be the fools they are.

Getting the cranks to choke on their bile, what fun!

I'm not the one who like to swallow and get buttfucked like you and Dono. Enjoy the ride, perverts.

And don't forget your 20 digits wristwatch to keep time accordingly to this shit, idiots.

INDIRECTLY HOW, Moroney?

Did they measured 1:10^10 parts of a 300 nm laser wavelength with interferometry? Like measuring 0.00000001" (in degrees)
of a sinusoidal wave?

IDIOTS, FUCKING IDIOTS WILLING TO BUY ANY SHIT YOU READ, like 10^-18 seconds correction in UTC, as proposed by German PTB?

You have fossilized brains, at which new dogmas can be written as in stone. Imbeciles, you should retire and try gardening.

In the meantime in the real world, however, GPS clocks keep
measuring t'=t, just like all serious clocks always did.

It sounds like this latest verification of relativity is causing you to
have another meltdown. Perhaps you need anti-anxiety meds along with
meds to control your OCD obsession with the man? Talk to the doctor at
your asylum.

In the meantime in the real world, however, GPS clocks keep
measuring t'=t, just like all serious clocks always did.

300 nm would be roughly 1 petahertz (10^15 Hz)

With a stable enough optical clock, it should not be that long for a
measurable phase difference to accumulate between the top and
bottom of the strontium cloud. Work it out. How many minutes to
accumulate, say, a phase difference of pi/4?

Look up optical heterodyne detection.

I did by reading here, mostly: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Optical_heterodyne_detection

You need a fast photodetector diode which output I ∝ [ Σ Eᵤ . cos Φᵤ(t) ]², at the output of a Ramsey cavity excited by tunable lasers
in a very cold and isolated enviroment. These requirements put the experiment beyond OHD, and in the realm of fairy tails fuelled by
Einstein's GR.

Within the paper, which can be found here:
https://arxiv.org/ftp/arxiv/papers/2109/2109.12238.pdf

the first reference credited is: Einstein, A. Grundgedanken der allgemeinen Relativitätstheorie und Anwendung dieser Theorie
in der Astronomie. Preuss. Akad. der Wissenschaften, Sitzungsberichte 315, (1915).

The chief author start the paper telling readers about his expectations:

"Ultimately, clocks will study the union of general relativity and quantum mechanics once they become sensitive to the finite
wavefunction of quantum objects oscillating in curved spacetime."

And the authors assert that the following equation HAS BEEN VERIFIED FOR h = 1mm:

(Eq.1) 𝛿f/f = 𝑎ℎ/𝑐², being 𝑎 the gravitational acceleration with a value certified by the latest USNO value.

The problem that they DON'T ADDRESS SPECIFICALLY is that 𝑎 is HIGHLY VARIABLE, to the extent of -1.09× 10^-19/mm, which is
exactly the magnitude I calculated in my first post here.

Anyways, the following gross approximation helps:

Being I ∝ [ Σ Eᵤ . cos Φᵤ(t) ]², with Eᵤ the electric field component of the incoming signal Sᵤ(t) ∝ Eᵤ . cos Φᵤ(t).

Now, assuming that there are only two signals at the input of the fast photodiode:

S₀(t) ∝ E₀ . cos Φ₀(t) = E₀ .. cos (ω₀t) [clean, pure signal with zero phase and amplitude noise]
S₁(t) ∝ E₁(t) . cos Φ₁(t) = E₁(t). cos [ ω₁t + n(t) ]

The low frequency part at the filtered output of the photodiode is:

Iᵣ(t) ∝ E₀ . E₁(t) cos [(ω₁ - ω₀)t + n(t)] = N(t) . cos ΔΦ(t) = N(t) . cos [ Δω.t + n(t)]

You are trying to measure Δω to prove that, at each upper and lower halves of a 1mm thick cloud of 100,000 atoms, it happens that:

Δω/ω ∝ [G.Me/(c².Re)] x 0.0005/Re = 5.5 x 10^-20

Or, that using signals that oscillates at f ≈ 10^15 Hz (optical range for photons)

IF Δf ≈ 0.000005 Hz can be measured by integrating results of an EXTREMELY NOISY AND UNSTABLE EXPERIMENT, using 96 hours
to produce, filter and correlate TONS OF DATA, and employ computers and EXTENDED mathematical manipulations and publicity that:

1) Get rid of QUANTUM NOISE.
2) Filter low frequency currents in the range of 1 picoampere, getting rid of the frequency sweep at the Ramsey cavity.
3) Makes extreme use of statistics to fudge results with accuracy better than 1:10^21 parts.
4) Broadcast PR about how close they are to quantum gravity (give more money and a couple of years)
5) Are telling loudly that EINSTEIN WAS CERTAIN pursuing his unified theory of everything.

Then, if you believe all this SHIT, then you are an idiot beyond any possibility of redemption.

Now, go and pay your taxes. Einstein needs you (through his heirs), but establishment need that YOU BELIEVE WITHOUT QUESTIONING.

P.S.: Other teams are working with values 10 times lower. Just google optical clocks.

Dumbestfuck

1. Contrary to your imbecility 𝑎 is not "highly variable" given that the interval ℎ=1mm
2. Contrary to your imbecility 𝛿f/f = 𝑎ℎ/𝑐² holds with a precision of greater than 10^22 because 𝑎ℎ<<𝑐²

Since you never learned GR and since you will never learn it, you will continue to insert your feet (both of them) in your mouth to our great amusement. Keep it up, dumbestfuck!

Fucking reptilian lifeform, your points show the sheer, appalling ignorance of a rotten mind programmed with religious dogmas,
in the church of relativity, which has deprived mankind of advances needed for the sake of society. Only for Eintein's worshipers.
And this STUPID, FAKE paper doesn't highlight that, besides unavoidable phase noise degradation, the exciting TUNABLE laser
is frequency modulated with a low frequency signal, to excite all possible states of atoms at the Ramsey cavity. So, the adequate
expression for the filtered output at the photodiode is:

S₁(t) ∝ E₁(t). cos [ ω₁(t).t + K(t) sin ωᵥt + n(t) ]

The low frequency part at the filtered output of the photodiode is:

Iᵣ(t) ∝ E₀ . E₁(t) cos [(ω₁(t) + K(t) sin ωᵥt - ω₀)t + n(t)] = N(t) . cos [ Δω(t).t + K(t) sin ωᵥt + n(t)]

The signal proportional to the frequency is ΔF(t) = dΔΦ(t)/dt = dΔω(t)/dt + dK(t)/dt sin ωᵥt + K(t) cos ωᵥt + dn(t)/dt

Good luck trying TO DETECT A VARIATION ΔF(t)/f₀ in the order of 𝑎ℎ/𝑐² and JUSTIFY IT!

They invested 90% of the paper trying to convince retarded people like you, using all the math artillery, that:

ΔF(t)/f₀ = Δ'ω(t) + K'(t) sin ωᵥt + K(t) cos ωᵥt + n'(t) = [G.Me/(c².Re)] x 0.0005/Re = 5.5 x 10^-20 (avg).

How did they filtered out the Bessel components caused by known modulation CONTAMINATED with quantum noise?

Fucking einstenian IMBECILE!

Where in hell do you make up your fantasies? Are you claiming that a
beat frequency measured between top and bottom of the strontium cloud
exceeds the frequency response of the best available high-speed
photodiodes? At the Newport site, I see commercial off-the-shelf
photodiodes with 45 GHz frequency response.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
As a completely unrelated side note, up until about 15 years ago (after
the youngest of my children graduated from high school), I was a
judge at the local high school science fair, and for quite a number of
years after that, I was a regular spectator at the regionals. At one of
the regionals, I saw a display where the student demonstrated
measuring the beat frequency between two separate stabilized diode
lasers. The beat frequency was too fast for the eye to perceive, but
was several kHz and easily measurable.

Gene cloning was a very "in" thing 15 years ago, but had I attended
the last regional, I would have seen some of the latest tech stuff
like gene editing with CRISPR and quantum entanglement. Seeing that
makes me a bit hopeful for the future of this country...

Wait a minute! I was quoting the Wiki article (very interesting) and comparing OHD with the arrangement for the experiment explained
in the paper. You misunderstood my comment. As an EE, I'm familiarized with photodiodes, which are an essential part of fiber optics
networks since mid '70s and they are also essential at links in datacenters, working at 25 Ghz or more. Of course they are available as
of-the-shelf products, probably costing a few bucks each (depending on the BW).

This experiment, in particular, claims that they can rescue a low frequency signal that contains a difference 𝛿f/f in the order of 10E-21,
after post-processing very noisy signals captured and stored as samples for 96 hours.

The result is statistical, yet they claim victory (and more money to fund future research). Read the original paper in arxiv and tell me if
it's not presumptuous. Too presumptuous. The guy is selling himself, his lab and his staff. Pure PR.

Also, visit the lab site.

If anyone is wondering how statistics is used in physics and astronomy, just read this article:

Exoplanet: Astronomers may have just found the first planet outside our galaxy

https://www.inverse.com/science/first-planet-outside-our-galaxy
Excerpt:

"Astronomers identified the possible exoplanet, M51-ULS-1b, because its transit blocked X-ray radiation from the remnant of a dead star — either a neutron star or a black hole — near the heart of the spiral galaxy M51, 23 million light years away. The planet is believed to be orbiting in a binary star system.

If confirmed, M51-ULS-1b is the first planet ever found orbiting a star in another galaxy. But its discoverers say more planets may be waiting to be discovered with the same method. The study appeared Monday in Nature Astronomy."

23 mly away is 4,000 times farther than "findings" in the Milky Way. And thanks to heavy use of digital processing and statistics upon
samples stored of very faint signals very far away.

This one of the many, too many cases in modern astronomy: 1989 COBE mission, which proved that CBR follows EXACTLY Planck't law,
or the measurement of red-shifting in the most distant galaxy known so far:

Scientists think they've spotted the farthest galaxy in the universe
https://www.space.com/oldest-most-distant-galaxy-discovery

"From previous studies, the galaxy GN-z11 seems to be the farthest detectable galaxy from us, at 13.4 billion light-years, or 134
nonillion kilometers (that's 134 followed by 30 zeros)," Kashikawa said in a statement. "But measuring and verifying such a distance
is not an easy task."

"We looked at ultraviolet light specifically, as that is the area of the electromagnetic spectrum we expected to find the redshifted
chemical signatures," Kashikawa said. "The Hubble Space Telescope detected the signature multiple times in the spectrum of GN-z11."

"However," he added, "even the Hubble cannot resolve ultraviolet emission lines to the degree we needed. So we turned to a more
up-to-date ground-based spectrograph, an instrument to measure emission lines, called MOSFIRE, which is mounted to the Keck I
telescope in Hawaii."

Statistics and heavy use of digital post-processing to figure out what was embedded into the noisy and granular blob captured after
100's of hours gathering photons.

What can be wrong? I ask. Rescuing data from a blob with 100 pixels info? Come on!

prokaryotic, your unjustified hubris and arrogance that fuels your stupid complex of superiority and your pathological
need to denigrate others with your derogatory comments (like "third world shithole") only makes you to appear as an
insecure person who needs to validate yourself through false claims of expertise and strong abilities.

There are a bunch of specimens like you at this forum that are MENTALLY ILL because of the above that, for reasons
beyond my understanding, need to behave as "full spectrum" assholes.

I remember your involvement in this thread:

GPS satellite's master clock "adjustment" and relativity. Doubts.
https://groups.google.com/u/1/g/sci.physics.relativity/c/R-TY0XkJhK4/m/v-1NtM64BwAJ

from which I rescue some concepts:

1) You was just a simple RT software engineer that worked around digital network systems at Applied Digital Access (1994-1999),
Mayan Networks (1997-2003), and Lockheed.

2) Your prime time (for whatever you achieved) is 20 years in the past. It only left a rusty SE who didn't know the value of modern
Excel as replacement for your BASIC programming. I taught you that, and you acknowledged it.

3) I don't know why most SE are unbearable persons full of "top of the world, mamma" complex that shape their attitudes toward
others just because their narcissism born in the fact that a fucking computer will follow your instructions if you don't fuck it up.
But it seems that such deformation of personality come with the profession, in the same way it happens with mathematicians.
Persons like you, in many fields, have territoriality urges (like an animal) to "pee around" to mark its domains (as animals). They,
and you, are despicable because don't understand any reason and it's useless to discuss with them in a civilized way.

You could have used therapy to develop some control on your stupid reactions, to become closer to Bodkin's or Paul's manners,
but it's too late for you, I think. You are only two or three echelons above Dono, and that should scare the hell out to anyone.

Now, to the facts:

1) You didn't explained shit to me about Beidou, synthesizers or atomic clocks. I was the one who taught you about the extensive
use of Ramsey cavities in atomic clocks (even in light clocks) or how to use Excel to replace most of SW programming in an
integrated screen.

2) You CAN'T ACCEPT that someone is MORE INTELLIGENT, KNOWLEDGEABLE and FAST LEARNER than you. You just can't.
Then, as a weapon, you resort to all kind of derogatory comments or plain lies, in order to sustain your position. It's like if the
"exceptionalism" that Obama claimed about US citizens in 2015 was bought by you without any question.

Such sense of superiority is undue, as it's shown every day with progress made at Russia, China and many other countries.

So, your "intellectual racism" is, for me, a source of laugh and amusement. I worked making RTOS and applied SW when you was
finishing high school, but I don't feel any need to BRAG about it or any other achievement during my long active career.

Your claim that "I don't understand" is taken by me as a lame defense of your assertions. And I feel sorry for you, because you
are HURT SO MUCH due to anyone else can get facts and key aspects on any paper that he choose to meddle with FASTER and
DEEPER than you.

I don't mess with things that I know that are out of my reach, like advanced mathematics. But, concerning applied physics and
electric/electronic engineering, I'm quite capable. Even in astronomy or cosmology, if I study given topics before opening my
mouth. You do the opposite: open your mouth to tell any shit and then try to rush finding any support for the idiocies you stated.

Finally, read the fucking paper entirely, take your time to digest it and, AFTER IT, just elaborate a comment without resorting to
downplay other person's understanding. And, please, widen your knowledge with the use of statistics in science&engineering.

To fully understand what NOISE IS could be a transcendental step in your gain of scientific knowledge, programmer.

Start with the full understanding of what NOISE IS in a set of data. It's not only an electrical thing. It apply to a wide range of
measurements of whatever be.
