There is a significant difference between the numbers that the Garmin has recorded and those that I entered in my diary.

Right now mu mileage record is 4171 and my climbing is 109236
The Garmin record is 4313 and 146020

While the distance is easily within the round off errors that I make the 33% error in climbing must come from minor ups and downs that I don't count on what I consider to be "flat" rides. I guess it really adds up.

I have decided to use the Garmin records only from now on. Not because they appear to be larger, but because I will accept them to be more accurate.

Today will be the last day of the year that is clear. It also isn't especially cold because of the atmospheric river coming in that is a warm front.

But it appears that I simply have far too much to do before dinner at the step children's

So the year ends up with the 4304 Miles and 145,909 feet of climbing. I can see that I didn't go and do the big rides because my maximum daily distance is only 72 miles and the maximum daily ascent was 4826. There are many routes that would offer greater distances and a great deal more climbing. I'll see if I can't better those next year.
