not sure, nowadays GPS is obsolete. We have glonass, baidoo, and
augmented, no corrections necessary.

Somewhere, in some British? museum,
I saw what can be called a differential clock.
The single hand is driven forward by a pendulum clock mechanism,
(synchronised to the real world by the BBC time signals I guess)
and backwards by a synchronous motor.
It has a zero on top, and a plus and a minus sign on the sides.
The engineer operating the power station could see at a glance
how many seconds he was ahead or behind.

Pre-WWII of course, from before the national grid was established,
so when each power station had a time of its own,
