Predicted temperature here this afternoon is a high of 77 degrees. I
will do my last ride for 2022. It will put me well over 2700 miles for
the year. It will also put my total miles on the Catrike at over
36,000 miles if I include modest estimates for the first two years,
2009 and 2010, when I was not recording my miles.

That's an impressive total, especially considering the two years and some months of COVID restrictions we've had. -- AJ

Covid didn't influenced my mileage by any means. Au contraire. Officially I couldn't enter Germany or Belgium for a while but hé if you now how the 'borders' are this didn't mean anything.

My mileage is up this year from 2021 but that was largely because no one was doing the climbing rides we normally did and none of the coffee stops were open or needed masks.

Here in Florida we only had a few months of Covid restrictions in
early 2020. Both my wife and I tested positive for it that year and my
riding for 2020 suffered from it. I only did 685 miles in 2020.

40 miles today. I mispoke when I said I'd be over 2700 miles for the
year. I should have said "over 2600 miles." I'm actually at 2637.8
miles for the year, but I am over 36,000 total miles on the Catrike..
(in the 13 years since I bought it in 2009)

I generally ride a short 6 mile stretch of muti use trail to get to
and from my prefered ride on the Suncoast trail. It's usually busy and
it's worse when the snow birds are here from the northern states and
Canada. Yesterday, there were many wearing face diapers, new
christmas present bicycle lights, and "how are you doing" wavers.
Thankfully, very few of them transition onto the Suncoast, but
yesterday there were some of them getting on from other access
locations.

There were also several electic bikes. I disdain electric bikes, but I
suppose they get more people out riding and that gets the government
interested in building more bike trails, and that's a good thing.

If you want a "motor bike" buy a Harley!

Here in Florida, if they go faster thn 20 MPH they are considered
motor vehicles. As such they are banned from "bicycle only" facilities
and must have a licence, insurance, lights, turn signals, etc.
Unfortunately, the 20 MPH rule on bike trails is not enforced since
I've had them pass me when I was going over 20 MPH. FWIW, I have no
motor so it's legal for me to go over 20 MPH.

And make do with that until you can acquire a real Ducati.

Or a Yamaha Virago where you don't need to concern yourself with a
greasy old chain.
