This wouldn't be good in the best times. The local Chevy dealer has a few SUVs and one used Ford pickup on the lot. I've heard stories of dealers spreading the vehicles on their lots to make them look full.

 I have a Chevrolet Buick GMC dealer next to my house and I have
pointed out as we go past,

" they are parking the cars at more and more of an angle and spreading
them out, their inventory is dwindling"

I think the actually have more trucks now than cars.
