I found this Basso Gap Road bike on the local bike club. It looks very nice for $250. It is 61 cm frame and I am about 73.5 tall with 35 inch cycle inseam. That probably is the limit but it should work for an indoor trainer bike mostly that I can ride outside. Here is the link I would really like to get some input on this bike and how good it might be.

Looks nice enough and clean and tidy, doesn’t seem overpriced though I’m
used to uk prices and well I’m generally not interested in road bikes
though my first one was a old 10s so I’m found of them!

When is the last time you used downshifters? Ie is the bikes age and tech
going to be a rude shock or just normal?

And clearly older gearing ie harder generally.

That is the bike I converted to Dura Ace 9 speed and rode for a decade. The handling was easily my favorite and the only bike I have now that is close is my Aliverti. At the moment I have a Basso Loto that might possibly be a tad better riding but the geometry feels different and too fast. but mostly because is uses lighter more compliant tubing. But at the price I would say go for it. I have a 34" inseam. So I give it a thumbs up.

excellent opportunity. My first 'real' racing bike was an '84 Basso Gap will Campy NR and Nisi wheels, candy apply red like that one. I had it restored sometime ago an it now hangs in my foyer as art. Beautiful bike....
