"For generations, physicists believed there is nothing faster than light moving through a vacuum -- a speed of 186,000 miles per second. But in an experiment in Princeton, N.J., physicists sent a pulse of laser light through cesium vapor so quickly that it left the chamber before it had even finished entering. The pulse traveled 310 times the distance it would have covered if the chamber had contained a vacuum. Researchers say it is the most convincing demonstration yet that the speed of light -- supposedly an ironclad rule of nature -- can be pushed beyond known boundaries, at least under certain laboratory circumstances. [...] The results of the work by Wang, Alexander Kuzmich and Arthur Dogariu were published in Thursday's issue of the journal Nature." http://www.cbsnews.com/news/faster-than-the-speed-of-light/

Einsteinians explain why Einstein's relativity "seems to survive":

"A pulse of light that passes through a transparent chamber filled with specially prepared cesium gas appears to be pushed to speeds of 300 times the normal speed of light. That is so fast that, under these peculiar circumstances, the main part of the pulse exits the chamber even before it enters. [....] But Einstein's theory, and at least a shred of common sense, seem to survive, the physicists explain, because the effect could never be used to signal back in time to change the past and, in the example, avert the accident." https://www.nytimes.com/2000/05/30/science/faster-than-light-maybe-but-not-back-to-the-future.html

Nothing can exceed the speed of light.
It is not that we cannot "technologically", it is that it is impossible
"naturally".
The speed of light is a property of space-time.
I have explained hundreds of times why you could NOT exceed that speed
because it was conceptual nonsense.
It's like thinking, I want to make my round trip Paris-Denver, and go so
fast with my plane, that I would have come back before I left.
This is obviously absurd.
The physicist who believes that he can (or that we will) one day exceed
this speed has understood nothing about the theory of relativity, and
unfortunately, there are many.
They then speak of "wormhole", of "gap-time", of "tinker bell", of
"superluminal speed".
Their blindness to the things they talk about is obvious.
How do you explain that to them?
We cannot go faster than an infinitely fast speed, than an instantaneous
transmission of information. It's impossible.
Now, light IS already a phenomenon of this type.
Physicists do not make themselves Coptic that they live in a relativistic
universe where, at these speeds, illusion plays a capital role.
They don't even know the first two equations I gave in 1986.
The speed that can be observed in a frame of reference is not the real
speed of things that happen there.
The observable speed (Vo) is not the real speed (Vr).
When Vr is infinite (light) the propagation seems to take place at c
(observable limit speed).
We simply have:
Vo = Vr/sqrt(1+Vr²/c²)
and, conversely, Vr = Vo/sqrt(1-Vo²/c²).
This is why we can never exceed the speed of light.
Because it is physically absurd.
We can try all the technologies or particles we want, we will not succeed.
It is a property not of particles or bodies, but of space-time itself.

No atom can reach it. Gamma math shows that infinitely slow
time for the atom cannot manifest... no force or propulsion
ever reaches light speed.

Are you doing it on purpose or what?
I just told you that we could not exceed the speed of light, not because
it was technologically impossible, but because it was physically ABSURD.
It is not a question of energy, or of particles, or of who knows what.
It is that it is physically ABSURD.
As absurd as looking for a whole number between 52 and 53.
You are going to say to me: "Yes, but there are intelligent people on the
earth, and nothing says that in thirty, two years, or a thousand years,
somebody will not find 5µ or 5ù which is a natural number that is hidden
between 52 and 53.
It is not the fact of having a good paper, or a good pencil.
It's just absurd.

In its absoluteness this statement is simply wrong.
