BH event horizon predict FTL by more
strength of gravity inside or more acceleration
in a BH. There is a limited gravity instead.

Propulsion shows the atom obeying the speed limit.
Gravity acceleration is also limited..
What ever accelerates the atom it still stays below light speed.

Kip Thorne made the excuse that fall would stop accelerating at C at the event horizon.
But there is more gravity strength inside the BH so it must be FTL falling or fall of tachyons inside instead.
