I found a decent buy on a CF road bike to replace the 9 year old Wilier. However the frame is 56 and ideally a 58 is my size. It comes with set of cheaper FSA cranks that are 172.5. I always ride 175 and then I can use my R7000 crank and switch over. Is there any problem with running 175 s on a 56 frame? I don't think so but checking.

Bing Andrew. You happen to have 57-60cm frame used in steel that has thread BB and a CF fork. I swap the rest over.

No used equipment here.

Take a look at a USA made Gunnar with Enve fork:

Clearances, geometries in a wide selection, caliper or disc.

I think that this bike has a BB30 bottom bracket. But it isn't unusual in what used to be a rich state for people to buy a bike and ride in one or two times, get a sore crotch and never ride it again.

I haven't ridden my gravel bike for two years.

They look nice. About $3500 AUD + shipping for a frame and fork, if I
wanted a gravel build to rival what I put together over Christmas, which
is over $1500 AUD more expensive than the carbon fiber frame and fork I
bought from Spain. I'm sure it's quite a bit heavier too, and my CF
frame and fork has internal cables and a few more mounting bosses on the
frame and fork.

Confirming I made the right choice for me.

Sadly, I don't think that's unusual in the U.S. For those with enough
money, a nice bike can be an impulse fashion purchase. The first ride
demonstrates that one actually has to pedal, so the bike sits in the
garage. Then there's a decade of "Someday I'm gonna..."

I'm guessing at the psychological details, but there's no shortage of
nice bikes that are "garage queens. "

I've known people like that over the years.

BTW Lou, did you catch VDP at Milan-San Remo? Still Ganna was the surprise of the day!

Off course. As a big fan of MVDP it was a good day ;-). Very clever ride. I am always amazed at what speed they climb the Poggio (= last climb); I heard an average of 40 km/hr this time. Pfff... Often the rider who has a small gap at the top win. Ganna (as also Rohan Dennis is) is a more complete rider as many people think. He was at the limit though as Pogacar and WvA were. Best man won as it supposed to be. I am looking forward to the rest of the spring classics. Next Gent-Wevelgem 16 March, then mid week Dwars door Vlaanderen 29 March, Ronde van Vlaanderen 2 April, PR 9 April. Mmmm....
