I've had two problems with Ebay components lately - I ordered a supposed Cinelli 1R locking bolt. When I received it it was a full inch too short. Since it was about $25 dollars it wasn't worth returning but unless people are trustworthy enough to list something correctly, they sure aren't trustworthy enough to do business with. There are people selling this piece of hardware in the correct size so you should always ask for dimensions if they aren't listed.

In another case, an add was for an aluminum fork. Two messages to him resulted in no answer. So I took the add at its face value "aluminum fork".

Well, it had a steel steering post that was heavier than normal and the "aluminum fork" is heavier than the all steel Scapin fork I wanted to replace. In fact, I have another all steel fork that's a quarter of a lb lighter.

So I will no longer take any chances and if someone doesn't respond to any questions I have, I will pass on it.
