I absolutely applaud this. They asked for it and Biden is giving it to them and they will now learn the lessons that slow thinking costs.

Why is it you never complain about your adopted socialist homeland? You _choose_ to live there, yet they represent everything you hate - social welfare policies, "Green" policies, strict gun control...fucking hypocrite.

You're an ignoramus beyond compare, F-F-F-Flunky! Michael D Higgins is a cultured gentleman, a poet, and a wit, but he doesn't "adopt" any policy. You see, you presumptuous little man, whereas Biden is the Chief Executive of the federation that makes up the United States, the President of Ireland is the Head of State, a largely ceremonial figure. The Chief Executive of Ireland is the Taoiseach, the Prime Minister. The President is entitled to an opinion, same as any other citizen, but he doesn't make policy and he has no executive function except in a constitutional crisis. I voted each time for "twee Michael", as the President is affectionately known, because I knew that he would and could do no harm, and the other candidates were figures of division and zero culture.

I hear that you lied that I wrote for the Irish Times. I did not, never a single word did I write for the Irish Times. What is your problem, boy? Why can't you get even simple things right? Even a moron like you should be able to look up the Irish Times and discover that I never wrote for them.

Oh dear, more consequences of your abominable ignorance and presumption. Since the President of Ireland has no executive role, it doesn't matter how old he is, whereas in the US a senile president (vide Joe Biden) is a danger to America, the world and people everywhere.

You haven't the faintest understanding of the Irish, Irish politics, or, apparently, anything else. The only thing certain about Irish politics is that the rest of Europe will pay for it because they aren't as smart as the Irish, and that the Irish will then preen and say, "We did our bit. Why are you so slow?"
>
> Why is it you never complain about your adopted socialist homeland?

BTW, another of your pisspoor erroneous assumptions is that Ireland has a National Health System. No, she hasn't, she has a safety net for poor people but rich people pay. The National Health System you mistake for an Irish institution is across the Irish Sea in the UK. See what I mean when I say you're an ignorant monkey?
>
Now let's see that stupidity again:
> Why is it you never complain about your adopted socialist homeland?

According to the IMF, Ireland is second only to Luxembourg in GDP per capita, twice that of the USA. If that's socialism, count me in! To put it in terms even you can understand, as Sophie Tucker said, "Honey, ah bin poor, and Honey, ah bin rich, and believe me, Honey, rich is best!"
>
>You _choose_ to live there,
>
Nope. I was invited to come live in Ireland by the Prime Minister at the time, Charles Haughey, whom I ran into at a party when I had only hours to find a new place to stay. Ireland was also a tax haven for artists, and Mr Haughey knew where I could live among policemen (at the time I was on the run from assassins the apartheid government sent for my life because they thought they were literary critics -- this is joke, since to aggravate your other disqualification to being a human, you have no sense of humour) and there was a suitable school nearby for my child.

Don't presume to put words into my mouth, sonny. You have not faintest idea of what I think, and I am not about to tell trailer park trash like you.

If you mean battery cars, as an old hot-rodder, I love them to bits. Have you seen the acceleration figures for the Tesla? That's a much more useful statistic for a modern car than its top speed. If you mean nuclear power, I'm in favour of it, but it is politically unlikely in Ireland in any foreseeable future. If you mean windmills on my landscape, when they're blown up I shall have a cast iron alibi. If you mean solar panels by the square mile, ditto, and anyway the "green and beloved isle" is so green because it rains a lot and is overcast for the rest of the time. Did you know that Irish power stations by law must burn a certain percentage of peat, a filthy fuel? Of course you didn't, you just took the verbiage you linked for a fact because you have no subtlety and are a total stranger to sophistication.

Most of the world's governments follow like little sheep what the US says is correct. Flunky claims to be an EE and then uses a term such as "1 million EV" which is a size and not a volume? Again and again he proves to everyone that IF he is a degreed engineer he is the same sort as Liebermann - incompetent to the point that he must be in a nowhere job going just there. Why doesn't Flunky tell us how many Tesla's he owns and which models? I'm sure that he could afford to buy a used one needing a battery replacement.

At least he can say that he races bicycles. I may laugh at his phony claims as to results but riding is riding and racing is racing. Even last place is racing. Let's see this gun control he believes he is going to get. I'll be waiting and it is likely I only have another decade and a half to wait.

Why do you suppose that Flunky believes a successful person in a special position should complain about the government he has? Flunky has yet to complain that the common man is being unfairly injured by the huge inflation and failing economy of the Biden administration. But if you take the exact same position you're a bad person. Then he calls you a hypocrite! Do you suppose that he even knows the meaning of that word?

I now don't think I would call him "scum". Each posting shows that he is entirely uneducated about the world around him that he prefers to live as a slave rather than a free man. So, stupid is the word I should use. Scum implies that he knows what he is doing and does it nonetheless.

That's a genuinely wise point, Tom. But I don't care whether people I did no harm put themselves in my face because they're slime or because they're stupid. The outcome is the same. Stupidity and poor character crunch the same underfoot. -- AJ

Why doesn't Flunky tell us how many Tesla's he owns and which models? I'm sure that he could afford to buy a used one needing a battery replacement.

I've often wondered if the RBT wannabe bullies, who apparently all vote the straight Donkey Party ticket, understand what the Democrat Party once stood for. All that the Krygowski Krowd, RBT's own KKK, stand for is, "I'm all right, Jack." They gloat about the misfortunes they wish on others. It's a sickening spectacle to see that scum salivate at the thought that someone else should come to harm.

Except the he appoints the Taoiseach, oh ignoramus beyond _all_ compare. Lets see what the Higgens appointed Taoiseach did about the pandemic:

"Where possible, teaching will be done on-line or remotely. Cultural institutions will close.
Our advice is that all indoor mass gatherings of more than 100 people and outdoor mass gatherings of more than 500 people should be cancelled."
https://merrionstreet.ie/en/news-room/news/statement_by_an_taoiseach_leo_varadkar_on_measures_to_tackle_covid-19_washington_12_march_2020.html

Lets see Varadkar's position on the environment:
When he was Tanaiste he wrote "Climate change is the most pressing long term global challenge of our time and Ireland is facing up to that challenge. We should not see climate action as an obligation or a burden. We should embrace it as an opportunity. "
https://www.gov.ie/en/press-release/c2114-government-launches-updated-climate-action-plan-accelerating-ambition-in-reaching-climate-goals/

Your entire government has gone whole hog into this climate action plan - Leaving you behind as an aging an decrepit dinosaur. Did Biden make them do that?

It might help if you actually knew what the word "lie" means. I made a mistake, I didn't lie, you bloviating bag of shit. I stand corrected, it wasn't the Irish Times - they clearly have more tact that to hire a hack like you.. It was the Irish Examiner, who was so embarrassed by their mistake they've completely scrubbed any evidence of your "contributions" from their records, save one letter of complaint about you being an asshole.

Why are you so slow?"

lol...is that what you tell yourself to get to sleep at night, shitbag? Maybe you should stick to barbituates:
"Most of the massive €125 billion cost of the new Climate Action Plan will be borne by private individuals, households and the private sector and not by the State"

The National Health System you mistake for an Irish institution is across the Irish Sea in the UK. See what I mean when I say you're an ignorant monkey?

As usual, you lie just for the sake of lying:
"It is a government-funded public healthcare system that covers 100% of the population. However, only around 37% of the population have a fully free coverage. The rest of the population still have to pay for certain services,"

lol....And of course, you lie by omission:
"Ireland's personal tax rate on dividend income of 51 percent is the highest among OECD countries."
"The VAT rate of 23 percent is one of the highest in the OECD"

Sure, that was right about the time you rubbed elbows with Karl Popper and started your 30K remember writers forum...was that before or after you received phone calls from two US presidents?....lol (IOW - more bullshit from RBTs biggest bullshitter)

Funny someone living on the government dole calling someone else trailer trash. I didn't put any words into your mouth, shitbag. I've used your own words against you. (like the time you claimed that two presidents have personally called you, then claimed you never said that)

Me either. The only threats I get are transcontinental from an old loudmouthed turd blossom who thinks he's scary. The fact is your government doesn't trust your citizens with firearms. I guess that's the socialism you want to be counted in for!

Flunky doesn't CARE about anyone other than himself. His favorite object is his mirror. He is too worthless to even have a good laugh over.

At least Krygowski knows what he stands for even it if is the total destruction of this country. You could hear him salivating over an actual AR15 mass murder until he heard that he was an illegal alien having been released many times that a white American would have been prosecuted for first degree felonies. Then he knew that it would be another failure of the Democrats that killed little children. Can't have that so he never mentioned it.

Your stupidity is mind boggling. The article listed EV as short for 'electric vehicles', dumbass, I had nothing to to do with it. Gawd what a fucking moron.....

I could, but I'm happy with what I'm driving now. I may buy one when by beloved Element finally gves up the ghost.

Probably less, since you're obviously going to die soon

what are you blabbering about?

I do, just not here.

Too bad troll-boy didn't take that position, and that's not what I called him a hypocrite for, dumbass.

Which is troll-boy reposting the article. Try this:

https://www.irishexaminer.com/search/?cosearch=Andr%C3%A9+Jute&datefrom=&dateto
This searches for troll boy across their entire archive, from "Search every page of the Irish Examiner from 1841 to present day." according to their Archive page. Exactly one response shows up.

Can you imagine what he must have done to cause the editors to scrub every reference except a complaint letter? How embarrassing it must be for a 'professional' writer to be completely removed from a newspapers' archives. If there was ever any indication of why he behaves like such an asshole here.....
