There is a correct equation stated by relativistic physicists and which
gives, in particular for the problem of the traveler of Tau Ceti, the
travel time observed in the terrestrial reference frame.

I recall that in this problem, which can be stated in two forms, one in
direct acceleration, the other with a deceleration halfway, the value of
the acceleration is always assumed to be constant and of a value of
10m/s².

Here is this equation that is important to know and that the student can
use without problem on his exam papers.

It is validated by everyone, and by myself in particular.

Il existe une équation correcte énoncée par les physiciens
relativistes et qui donne, notamment pour le problème du voyageur de Tau
Ceti le temps du voyage observé dans le référentiel terrestre.

Je rappelle que dans ce problème, qui peut être énoncé sous deux
formes, l'une en accélération directe, l'autre avec une décélération
à mi-parcours, la valeur de l'accélération est toujours supposée
constante et d'une valeur de 10m/s².

Voici cette équation qu'il est important de connaître et que l'étudiant
peut utiliser sans problème sur ses copies d'examen.

Elle est validée de tous, et de moi-même en particulier.

g (acceleration) = 10m/s²
x (distance in meters) = 12*0.946728.10^16.m
D (light time) = x/c = 12 years

To = D.sqrt(1+2c²/gx)

Numerical application :
To=12.sqrt[(1+2*9*10^16)/(10*12*0.946728*10^16)]

To = 12 years and 337 days (4717.5 days)
