Has anyone read his stuff? Is it any good?

Imagine renting a paperback for $129.

Hi, John:-

I took a look at the 3rd Edition (they're on 5th now). Looks like a
standard economics 101 text, but quite pleasantly laid out and
organized with lots of color and graphs. The soft cover edition
probably smells nice.

Almost 1,000 pages including appendices, lots of reviews, lift-outs
and problems and a few answers.

Eg. https://i.imgur.com/vkOEGSZ.png

Pretty much uncontaminated by any math beyond ~grade 8. They avoid
scary derivative notation by putting a little arrow over the variable.
Nothing like 2nd order systems to attempt to explain business cycles,
that I can see.

Not sure the macro stuff explains adequately what's happening in
recent years. Maybe the revised edition attempts to do so. The 3rd
edition has a chapter on the 2008 GFC.
