First they shaft the DIY market with threadripper.

And now they do it again with:

Ryzen 9 5900 and Ryzen 7 5800

Two none-x versions which have a 40% power consumption saving with almost same performance.

Especially now with rising energy prices, and the fact that 100+ TDP for the x versions is way too high this could be a major deal.

But yet again not available to DIY market. Do It Yourself.

I can't even find a decent review of 5900 vs 5900X.

AMD is making itself very unattractive to DIY market, except the general idiot that purchases overheating garbage.

Bye for now,
Skybuck.

How the hell does 5900 run hotter than 5900x ?

65 watts vs 105 watts:

Is this a specification typo ? Or is there more to it ? Maybe in turbo boost mode ?:

https://www.amd.com/en/products/cpu/amd-ryzen-9-5900x

oem-version:

https://www.amd.com/en/products/cpu/amd-ryzen-9-5900

Very strange !

Skybuck.

The Ryzen 5 3600 Linux machine that I DIY close to 2 years ago is still
awesome. Everything that you touch turns to ruins.

After being spanked in the electronics repair group, it wants
to annoy everybody.

This nym-shifting stalker Corvid/Edward/others is upset because it will
never again troll USENET without its nyms being exposed...

NOBODY likes this troll's contentless spam.
After being spanked in the electronics repair group, it wants
to annoy everybody.

This nym-shifting stalker Corvid/Edward/others is upset because it will
never again troll USENET without its nyms being exposed...

Of course a nym-shifting troll wouldn't admit it. that would defeat the
reason for nym-shifting.

There are a few similarities between the posters/IDs...

1. Before "Edward Hernandez", corvid's only real sounding nym was "Jose
Curvo".

2. Both have posted in a similar fashion, pointing to prior posts of mine.

3. Eddie wants to stop my highlighting of header information, attempting
to defend nym-shifting trolls like "corvid".

4. The only reason for nym-shifting is to evade filters. Naturally trolls
object.

5. Doesn't hurt anything to equate "Eddie" with "corvid".

NOBODY likes the John Doe troll's contentless spam.

And yet, the clueless John Doe troll has continued to post incorrectly
formatted USENET articles that are devoid of content (latest example on
Wed, 12 Jan 2022 15:39:01 -0000 (UTC) in message-id

This posting is a public service announcement for any google groups
readers who happen by to point out that the John Doe troll does not even
follow the rules it uses to troll other posters.

Banders. There were others that Dopey Doe lists, and then he includes
others that I never used. Which he knows, but he needs to puff up his list.

No! Seen the pictures posted of that thing? That's Dopey's
kid-size bike. A DeWalt drill hangs way out off the side of the fork,
waiting to hit obstacles and pedestrians.

Seen his ingenious computer screen hanger? Well, he has a cracked
computer screen now.

The handlebars on a bicycle hang out farther than my drill does.

Using a cordless drill makes it the lightest, most powerful, and most
reliable electric powered bike in the world.

DeWalt makes a "mud mixer" that is a bit heavy but it is ideally suited
for a POWERFUL electric bike. If only it were freewheeling there would be
no need for a freewheel hub. That would be AMAZING, but close enough!

My monitor hang, also used for speakers, is extremely versatile. My
monitor hang has not cracked a monitor, after about 20 years use.

And of course there's no way to know whether an insulting ingrate has been
using my stuff for years. Obviously it's interesting...

NOBODY likes the John Doe troll's contentless spam.

He had to look hard to find long enough handlebars to make that true.

If you believe what John Doe tells you. Nobody sane would.

no need for a freewheel hub. That would be AMAZING, but close enough!

Even more amazing if there was any chance that it was true. If you want a motor for a powerful electric bike, design one for the job - one that will fit inside the wheel, for a start. Something that is designed for a completely different job isn't going to hack it.

Not that our resident crack-pot would have noticed if it had.

John Doe does have delusions of competence ...
