Naming a new supreme justice always involves thinking about balancing it's political opinions. Or unbalancing them towards the right if you are a Republican. What your IPSOS poll said is that 76% of American's think that Biden should consider all possible candidates for the new Supreme Court position, rather than concentrating on finding a black female nominee. That isn't saying that they think that Joe Biden is a racist.

The right doesn't like affirmative action - it produces change, and the right likes things to stay just the way they are.

What usually happens when you look for a candidate for job who doesn't look like all the current job holders is that there's a candidate that stick out a mile, and should have got the job years ago and didn't because nobody even thought to look at somebody who didn't look like the current job holders.

What Biden is doing is looking at all of the possible candidates with an eye to seeing people who might have been passed over by a racist like Trump

Wrong. Your poll didn't say what you say they did. You translated an opinion that Joe Biden should look at all the candidates into one that Joe Biden shouldn't look hard for a black female candidate because such a restriction would be racist. It isn't - it's a device to combat and exploit the effects of previous racist decisions.

Ginny Valian nails it for female candidates. A black female candidate would look even less like the average Supreme Court judge than Ruth Bader Ginsberg (who was a good choice, even if Clinton picked her) or Amy Cony Barrett (who wasn't).
