Whoa, look at that front fork clearance! Plenty of room for fenders! And
hey, built in storage for carrying stuff! If they add a handlebar bag, I
may buy one! :-)

They mention the water reservoir and tubing to allow drinking while
remaining aero. On my (only) double century ride, I cobbled up something
similar. It was just an oversized bottle with a long straw sitting
upright in my handlebar bag. It did allow drinking while on the aero
bars. If I'd taken more time, it would have benefited from a check
valve. I assume the Speedmachine has one.

I believe current thought on that fork clearance is to
maintain laminar flow to the extent possible and minimize
turbulence or a 'venturi' pressure change.

Yes, I read that somewhere else. Interesting refutation of the previous
"Near Zero Clearance" design philosophy.

I don't think that has any merit. The air out there is chopped to pieces with the legs going up and down. The front wheel bobbling back and forth, and hopping up and down. There is not the slightest laminar flow after the initial penetration of the wheel, fork and handlebar
everything else is frontal area. I agree that there is probably less venturi effect. But is it even measurable in effect?
