Huh? Most NATO countries aren't known for 'first strike' activity. Do

forest, the idea of defense was most certainly foremost in the founding NATO members.

Irrelevant to the intentions of Belgium, Canada, and other members of
NATO. It's also not a capability NATO has, unless there's some
vulnerability I don't know of, regarding Typhoon class submarines
inherited from the USSR. Why would one think NATO's "only reason" is
a capability that hasn't been seen during over half a century?
