Thought about the Serotta last night and decided that it will probably be necessary to refinish it entirely by hand. This takes more time but it protects the carbon fiber seat stays from damage. But it will be easier to judge when the frameset arrives today.

After receiving the Serotta it turned out that the photos were very misleading and that the refinishing fork will not be nearly as difficult as they appeared.

The bike will need a fork and a 1 1/8th inch headset. Because this is a 60 cm bike it will require a new fork with an uncut steering shaft since most of the "used" ones are far too short. I'm particular about the fork ends and the steering shaft condition as well so this leaves little more than a new fork.

Because I have been concentrating on steel bikes, the new headsets I have are all 1" so that will be an order as well. Otherwise all of the components will change directly over from the Moser 12 speed Campy groups. Except for the change in stems. I will have to change from the 1" quill stem to the 1 1/8" threadless stem. I have several 26 mm bar stems around,
