Does anyone know what the blinking red light on the bar end junction box means? I thought it signaled that the battery was low but when I tried to charge it it only took one minute.

I was weighing my bikes and the Ridley weighed 17.7 lbs. The Fondriest weighed 22.4 lbs. The Tomassini 22.7 and the Land Shark 23.9. I suspect that the Serotta when completed will weigh 20 lbs or less.

I don't notice the weight when I'm riding but as Lemond said - you don't feel better, you just go faster.

I think it has something to do with the RD protection mode. You can reset it by pressing and holding the button for more than 5 seconds. Download the manual it is a little confusing.

Indeed that works but maybe it occurs when the lower limit is struck.

It is not supposed to strike the lower limit. Get it just out of the way. Limit screws are for people who don’t know what they are doing.

The lower limit screw is set so that the chain won't come off of the 11 tooth. That is lower than it should ever get. The limit screws are there for a reason - so that while you're doing the fine tuning it doesn't go over the top of the large cog or under the bottom cog. I think that what the noise is actually coming from is the Shimano quick link. It came in the 11 speed chain box and it says 11 speed on it but it looks more like a 10 speed and it seems to be where the rattle is coming from. I will buy some Connex 11 speed quick links. They are designed to be reusable. I assembled this one and they took it apart to cut three more links out of it and it has been rattling ever since. Looking very closely at it, it is properly fastened but it does seem to be the source of the noise.

Limit screws are safety items. A RD never touches a properly adjusted RD. Everything is indexed. Btw (some) 11 sp. Shimano chains are directional and also their quick link. The connex link is certainly directional.

Yes, a properly adjusted rear Di2 never should hit the rear outside of inside limits - that is what the limit screws are there for - just in case.

I don't think that this Shimano chain is directional and I don't think it makes a different except in shifting. But I will look. Presently the chain shifts cleanly and mostly noiselessly up and down. But there is noise pedaling in most gears. It isn't touching the front derailleur cage save perhaps at the extreme limits since I've been fiddling with the fine adjustment. Set up in the shop it doesn't touch at all.
