Collector or not, my ishiwata 022 - if seamed - rb2 rode like a dam noodle. Thing would get crossed up descendanding and insist on drifting out of the lane above 25

Ishiwata 022 is seamless, identical material and process as
015, 017, 019; differing only in thickness.

And seamed tubing shouldn't generate any "dam noodle" effect. It would impose a slight weight penalty, but it
shouldn't affect the rigidity of the frame, if that was what was meant. If anything, I'd expect seamed tubes to be
a bit more rigid than similar seamless tubes of like diameter.

Could we discuss what might actually generate the handling behavior Doug describes? Or would that be too
on-topic for this group?

Low tire pressure, unusual placement of rider or cargo or
both, head angle and or fork changed from crash, slack spoke
tension among other things.

I had virtually every model of the Bridgestones since two of the best bicycle shops in the area owned by the best mechanics carried them. I found them to be very capable bikes though a little too heavy in my opinion,
