https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11081115/Silly-sausage-French-astronomer-forced-apologise-planet-photo-snap-chorizo.html

We have to make an investigation on every CGI image immediately!

A French astronomer claimed he got the latest image of an exo-planet, as
captured by the Webb telescope.

It turned out that it was a photo of a "Spanish chorizo (sausage)". Even when
he apologized for the "joke", their colleagues didn't laugh.

I think it's hilarious, if it wasn't that it show how easily you can deceive people,
not even using a computer and CGI. Just a camera in the kitchen and presto!

How many times did this happen?

So now Twitter tweets are official NASA releases? And the poster needed
to apologize because there are people as dumb as Richard Hertz who might
actually believe it's official? Yeah, maybe he needed to wait until
April Fools Day.

And Richard Hertz cannot even tell the difference between an exoplanet
and a star (Proxima Centauri)?

Richard, please delve into the "photographs" of black holes and gravitational lensing when you have time. Also, will you please consider composing a history of bending starlight experiments during eclipses. As far as I can tell, the first such experiment was performed by the William Wallace Campbell Expedition out of the Lick Observatory. Campbell's results were negative beyond all doubt. All of the results for the most recent eclipse in 2017 were inconclusive (except for one amateur kook, Bruns) and tossed out. Orbiting satellites could produce experimental results on a daily basis, and yet none exists. Big Science's practice of discarding all experimental results not conforming to regnant paradigm was thoroughly documented by Kuhn in TSoSR.

Top Physicist Admits "Distant Star" Photo Was Actually Chorizo
https://www.zerohedge.com/technology/top-physicist-admits-distant-star-photo-was-actually-chorizo

The news about the joke is now at US ZeroHedge. Some posts from readers:

////////////////////////

NASA just published the deepest views of the cosmos CGI has ever created.

Boomers can’t handle the fact that they were heavily bull****ted throughout their youth. From the moon landings to the Darwinian propaganda rammed down their throats from day one. They have literally lied to us about almost everything.

Oh yeah... be sure to "Trust the Science"! LOL!

Everything you see out of NASA is CGI. If you believe we went to the moon, have a space program, that the SpaceX CGI launches from Van Horn, TX were real, well you madam or sir, are literally retarded.

Must have gotten some tips from CNN or Faux.
This sounds like something Anderson Pooper would concoct

Now about that picture of Ur anus ...

Space is the final frontier, but it's made in a Hollywood basement.

When your new telescope Fails and is riddled with micro meteors use Pepperoni next time.

Hate to break it to you people but everything you have ever been told since birth is a lie!!

Thank God he didn't show a picture of a black hole. Who knows where he would have gone with that one.

I’m so surprised he would have ever fake astronomy photos. No one’s ever done that before. Sarc.

And people still believe we landed on the Moon. Lol

Doesn't matter. Nobel will still give him the science prize.
