I have a set of Campagnolo Shamal wheels of the modern type. They had 11 speed cassette on them so of course they mount the 12 speed. The problem is that the axle doesn't protrude from the 12 speed cassette enough so the axle needs to be moved over the correct amount. I previously had them mounted on the newer (wider rim) Calima wheels and they worked fine out of the box. Is there and easy way to move the axle over the 5 mm or am I going to have to take it up to the wheelbuilder and have him correct the wheel all around?

No.
Campagnolo uses the same axle/cassette format and spacing
for 9-10-11-12 systems so it's correct.

Unless you repositioned the axle or have an extra spacer in
there somewhere or the high gear sprocket is not on its
splines correctly or something like that..

There is some sort of adjustment mechanism that appears to adjust the centering of the wheel and I'm wondering if that is the problem. Since it worked well with the 11 speed it was left in the same position it was when I bought the wheels.

It turned out that when I installed the cassette somehow I got it off-center so that while it appeared to go together it was actually sticking out a bit. But Robinson immediately picked up that those ceramic bearings were shot and needed replacing. I'd just as soon have steel bearing anyway.
