It would pop up sometimes when I was taking a picture. I disabled it.
Why would I want to know about hotels near my back yard? What I'd
really like with the Pixel2 native camera app is the ability to increase
or decrease the exposure, but NOOOO!

Both Google Lens & Google Camera have a "translate" feature it seems.

My Google GCam translate test just now was to type a line of text in English
on translate.google.com using my desktop PC and pushing the button on
translate.google.com to translate that text into Spanish on the desktop PC.

I opened the Wichaya Google GCam APK port on the phone and snapped a picture
of only the Spanish side using the "Translate" button in that GCam port.

Interestingly the translation of Spanish back to English by the Google CCam
port was almost the same as the original English text sentence was

number of uses, not the number of such searches that actually yield
pertinent results. Google search (text) is used a lot, but everyone
knows either you need the magic elixir of search terms to find relevant
articles, or none show up in the results, especially since Google
discards all non-alphanumeric characters except in few cases.

number of uses is the correct metric, especially given there's no way
to measure only the instances that give pertinent results.

not true. google is extremely good at providing relevant results even
when the query is a bit vague, much more so than say, bing, which is
*awful*.

Bored with this now, but I used to spend many happy hours trawling
through code in debuggers. The numbers one sees are base 16. That's it.

I'm sat here waiting for all new guts for my server to show up. Once it
arrives I'll be out of everbody's way. The old Xeon had been working non-
