Al and Bob engage in a children's slide design contest.

The slide must start from a point 10 meters high. They
will terminate at the same point at ground level (side by
side). The goal is to provide the quickest trip to the bottom.

It's Asymptopia, where the materials are frictionless.

Neither knows the cycloid curve.

Al designs the simplest: a straight line.
Bob proposes a S curve, something like this:
