That's really amazing.

1. Since the safest cities are those that spend the least on crime,
simply cutting off funding for law enforcement will provide the
desired safety. Does knowing that your city spends the least amount
of money on law enforcement make you feel safer?

2. In California, most cities have adopted the city-manager and city
council model, where the mayor rotates between the 5 city council
members:
<https://socialsci.libretexts.org/Bookshelves/Political_Science_and_Civics/Introduction_to_California_Government_and_Politics_(Reti)/11%3A_Local_Governments/11.03%3A_California_Cities>
Chances are good that the 5 city council members will be different
political parties between elections.

3. Cities are not normally involved in criminal prosecution. That's
the function of the county. Appeals are handled by the State and the
Federal government. Chances that the various parts of the trial
process are from a single party is close to zero.

4. The office of mayor is generally considered to be non-partisan, at
least in California. Over the years, partisan politics has crept
into the process:
"Party affiliation of the mayors of the 100 largest cities"
<https://ballotpedia.org/Party_affiliation_of_the_mayors_of_the_100_largest_cities>
I started checking the list of 10 least safe cities. I soon gave up.
Too much work.

If you display the 100 largest cities and the party affiliation of
their mayors, they're mostly Democrats.
<https://ballotpedia.org/Party_affiliation_of_the_mayors_of_the_100_largest_cities#List_of_mayors_of_the_100_largest_cities>
See the bar graph of "Mayoral partisanship: 2016-2023"
<https://ballotpedia.org/Party_affiliation_of_the_mayors_of_the_100_largest_cities#Mayoral_partisanship:_2016-2023>
Average is 29 Republican, 63 Democrat, 7 Independent/NonPartisan
mayors. So, if there are twice as many cities with Democrat mayors
and assumiing everything else is equal, there will be roughly twice as
much money spent on crime.

5. Correlation does not demonstrate causation. I could probably
demonstrate that US crime increases with the number of characters in
the mayors name.
<https://tylervigen.com/spurious-correlations>
Oops. Looks like the site is temporarily broken. Maybe next year.

6. There are probably more problems with the Town Hall article, but
I'm tired (town hauling firewood up a hill) and suspect somone else
can do a better job than me.

7. Bah Humbug.

The only amazing thing about it is that shitstain still thinks people actually buy into his bullshit. It's just another rightwing opinion piece published by just another rightwing opinion website. Since shitstain is so enamored of his own fact checking, here's a little tidbit for him:

https://realestate.usnews.com/places/rankings/most-dangerous-places
#3 - Anchorage - Mayor: David Bronson, republican
#4 - Bakersfield, CA - Mayor: Karen Goh, republican
#6 Chattanooga - Mayor: Tim Kelly, independent
#7 Corpus Christi, TX - Mayor: Paulette Guajardo, independent
#8 Tulsa, OK - Mayor: George Theron Bynum, , republican
#9 Columbia, South Carolina - Mayor: Daniel Rickenmann, republican

Gee, 6 out of the top ten most unsafe cities to live in the US are _not_ run by democrats....who woulda guessed?

Agreed. 01/06/2023

Yes, mine. Andre and Tom can do no right and both belch considerable
hot air:

"I'll bet that there wasn't anything I didn't do wrong"

Incidentally, your clairvoyance is quite good. I'm currently
wrestling with an air pollution problem that was possibly caused by my
wood burning stove. I'm at the point where I suspect my AQI (air
quality index) sensor is detecting smoke from about eight similar
nearby stoves:
<https://map.purpleair.com/1/a/b/m/i/ls/mAQI/a0/p1800/cC5?select=36239#12.93/37.08582/-122.08712>
My smog generator is near center screen, to the left and up from
"Lomond Terrace" on "Jackson Ave". Notice the huge spikes on the
graph.

One of my favorites is when the shitstain claimed to have received phone calls from two US presidents, then when accurately pointed out why that couldn't have happened, he actually denied he ever wrote that.
https://groups.google.com/g/rec.bicycles.tech/c/REW_-SA-MIk/m/MaY7HagLAgAJ

A close second was when he claimed to have worked with Karl Popper on his dissertation, then claimed he never wrote that either.

I assume you're speaking about Liebermann and Flunky. The losers olf the world simply deny that the worldound them is what it is. Those two claiming to be electronics engineers shows you all you nrrd to know about them. Flunky, is obviously working a job that requires someone with a degree to sign off paperwork. Necessary for his company but that doesn't make him a real engineer. Me and the wife had lunch with some old friends yesterday. An accountant and a bookkeeper. They have a beautiful house in Modesto, CA, and they are worth thee times what I am,.while six years in college is on welfare and loudmouth is nothing more than someone to take the blame for company failures.

Is this simply denying the world around us?

More proof that you never worked on the design level of any medical
electronics. If you had, you'd have complained about dealing with the
FDA (regulatory requirements) like the designers of medical electronics
are forced to deal with.

> Me and the wife had lunch with some old friends yesterday. An

An accountant and a bookkeeper are worth three time what a genius
designer of medical electronics who was making $250K/year in the 1990's
ans still makes $12K/m on his investments? Did they work for a drug
cartel?

Sarcasm aside, for once, I actually believe a story from tommy. I have
absolutely no doubt that an accountant and bookkeeper couple are worth
three times what tommy is worth.

In 2023 in California, an accountant salary is:
Low $51,698
Average $71,711
High $99,471
https://www.indeed.com/career/accountant/salaries/CA

I have absolutely no doubt that an accountant and bookkeeper couple who
managed their money effectively throughout the 70's to 2000's are worth
three times what tommy is worth.

Jutelist #2. Repeatedly accusing people of being on welfare. He worries
that he'll end up on welfare.

And the fact that we haven't had any regulatory failures since I took
this job makes my life sooooo much easier

We interrupt this pack of lies for a brief public surface
announcement. Covid-19 and Influenza-A in the waste water are rapidly
rising in San Leandro CA, home town of Tom Kunich, the famous medical
researcher, who saved the world from AID's and carbon fiber forks.

Looks like the rise in Covid-19 is following exactly the same pattern
as last year during the annual Christmas plague season. If it
continues to climb, run away to Modesto CA.

We return you now to our regular scheduled bickering.

Given that we have no evidence that Tommy ever actually worked as any
sort of engineer except his famous "resume"which is rather poor
evidence of anything given that the very first entry
----
<https://www.linkedin.com/in/tom-kunich-22012/>
Education
Lowry AFB
Completed, Electronics
1965 - 1966
Activities and Societies: US Air Force Technical School
----
Is, if not a deliberate lie then a very inaccurate statement.

So in reality we have no way of knowing what Tommy Boy was doing for
all those years. Other then his say so. And, based on his statements
over many years, the vast majority of which have been blatant lies, it
seems logical to believe that his resume is no different then the
rest of his other posts... An individual who, all those years ago, the
Bar Girls in Japan used to describe as a "bu shit boy" (Note there is
no "L" sound in the Japanese language :-)
