Just what does "Learn to ride a bicycle" mean?

Growing up in a small New England town I "learned" to ride a bike
coasting down the driveway behind my mates house. I see 6 year old
kids here riding bikes. The daughter of my neighbor has out grown her
bicycle and now rides a motor scooter to school. I jokingly asked her
if she had a driver's licence and she, very seriously, assured me, "Of
Course".

This survey apparently only involved a few people who didn't already
know how to ride a bike and didn't think they could do it without
instruction.

I did a quick search and apparently there are even you tube posts to
show you how to ride a bicycle.

Sort of a shame that a skill known to small children here is a subject
to be "learned" by adults in the West. It sort of makes one wonder,
which is the "developing" country :-)

So Krygowski can claim himself successful.
