1980s , since the mid 90s we have a lot of Muslim students and few of them drink, it's also more expensive and students have to take out loans. Accommodation is expensive too. Plus there's lots of things they seem to prefer spending money on.

The police aren't really interested unless it's really large scale.
Best to keep quiet about it few are interested it can take years to get anything done, then you find someone leaves
or gets promoted, or is encourage to take another job.

We can;t do that we have to go through a process with finance and get approvals and quotes for some things.

we get them for £60 with a free PSU ,card reader USB lead SD card as a kit .
we wanted 3 rapid do them for £62 when they are ins stock, the students said they wanted the pi 4 bit when we told the lecturer what the students wanted he said don't bother they can use pi 3s for what they are doing and I have 4 in my office they can have. So that's what happened.
When they come in stock we'll buy a couple until then students have to learn what is available and in stock.

If something is cheaper on ebay we have used it in the past we bought 100 RGB LEDs
cheap and easy to test if woiking the 10% or so they didn't you can just throw away.

Just bought 300 MES 10 bulb holder £1.79 each the suppliers on ebay were charging £4-£6.
We get university discounts from out suppliers works out about 10-20% free P&P and we know they'kk arrive in a couple of days at most.

I had to stop a couple of students doing a project where they were measuring heart rates and stuff jumping about
sharing heart rate sensors pulse sensors . If they want to do that go outside not in a lab.
