How times have changed. More and more around town I'm seeing signs like this:

https://www.dropbox.com/s/at0tt9po8f15459/Kitsons.png?dl=0

Not only do L.A. stores not require masks anymore, they're actively banning
them due to explosion in property crime. Shoplifters, robbers, and all manner
of criminals are using the excuse to wear a mask to hide their identities from
witnesses and security cameras, so now more and more businesses are refusing
entry to anyone wearing a mask.

If you're one of those hysterical mask fanatics who is still wearing one
because you're terrified of the Wuhan Flu and you think-- against all
evidence-- that a mask somehow protects you, the stores direct you to their
online mail order presence and some will allow you to set up an appointment to
shop after hours, but during business hours, you're out of luck.

Of course the same people who shouted down the anti-maskers during the
pandemic that "private businesses can enforce whatever dress code they want",
are now having screeching meltdowns about how this is a violation of their
rights.

The above sure looks like a screeching meltdown to me. Why do you care
if some people still wear a mask? What possible difference does it
make? Why call them names like "hysterical mask fanatics" if they're
simply wearing masks? I'd agree that, at this point, if someone in a
store gave you grief for not wearing one, you'd have an excuse to start
calling them names. Has this happened to you? It hasn't to me.

BTW you are going to have people wearing a mask this time of year in an
attempt to avoid catching the flu. There have always been a few such,
and I expect there will be more this year, as the idea of wearing a
mask in the store is not as odd as it used to be.

I didn’t think you had property crime in the Pueblo de Los Angeles?

Meanwhile, our mask wearing is on the upswing again. I got a terrified Uber
driver last week who didn’t like that I coughed and said she was going to
drive me home as fast as she possibly could because she had a baby girl at
home.

Shoplifters, robbers, and all manner
of criminals are using the excuse to wear a mask to hide their identities

refusing

You should probably see a specialist about that.

Well, as noted, a possible difference is that they stand a good chance
of being a criminal about to stick up the place.

Then they're going to have to shop online at an increasing number of
stores here.

You've shown a dropbox image of one store, not "stores". Lie #1

You've shown no proof of location. Lie #2

The graphic is just badly superimposed on a window. Lie #3.

Conclusion: this is just another shitpost.

You do specialize in screeching meltdowns, and here we all are.

Watch out for that old lady in the mask! She may be armed!

Do you think that masks suddenly became a thing for robbers during the
pandemic?

The prohibition will last until people complain and the stores start
losing money.

Creating that sign, if it were real, would have cost several hundred
dollars. OTOH Kitson, the store in question, has been pulling bizarre
shit for a while now.

People are already complaining-- about their 'rights'-- the same people
who said rights don't matter when the masks were required. And yet the
bans persist and grow.

And the stores lose a helluva lot more money from the rampant
shoplifting than they do from the few customers who still are obsessed
with wearing masks.

Does it matter if the shoplifters wear a mask or not when no one is
allowed to stop them and the cops won't bother to arrest them?

I haven't worn a mask since our medical health officer said it was no
longer needed. (I've got my 3 shots and am waiting until the
'bivalent' vaccine or whatever it's called is available, despite two
of my family having had it - one of them 8000 miles away from me - and
a third testing positive.)

I'm being careful and when I'm in the grocery store and see a masked
person I normally keep my distance as one just doesn't need the hassle
of risking a confrontation. I've had a few friendly gestures from
masked folks who understand what I'm doing.

Anybody wanting to go postal on me will get back as good as they give
but so far so good.

Isn't it a Moot Point if they never arrest or charge people?

The issue isn't people choosing to wear masks (other then criminals using
covid masks as an opportunity) it's Covid Commies demanding that we
all still be forced to wear masks 24/7/365.

I still see the occasional dumbass driving down the road in their own car
with the windows rolled up wearing a face diaper and other then laughing
at their paranoia, I don't have a problem with this but those types of people
saying _I_ need to be wearing a mask, well fuck them.

Same old shitposting. How many people? Did you talk to them yourself?
Have their been polls? Do you have proof of these polls? No, no, no,
and no.

How much money? Where are the statistics? Same old shiposting.

What threshold has to be reached for it to be declared "rampant"? Same
old shitposting.

Oh, look! It's also on 'progressive'-friendly CBS News' website, too. I guess
you and "A Friend" have some 'splainin' to do. (Unless, that is, you're going
to double down and claim CBS is also intentionally posting fake news now,
too.)

https://www.cbsnews.com/news/kitson-bans-face-masks-after-spike-in-theft/

I had no idea that the Democrat cheerleaders at CBS News are now "right-wing
dickhead HQ".

Good to know. (Although I'm sure that'll suddenly change the moment it becomes
inconvenient for you.)

You stupid fucking stupid eunuch'd cunt. That's why I said "looked"
because I didn't give a shit enough about your shitpost to find out if
it was real or not and since you lie in just about every post now there
was a good chance it was. If you're in doubt remember I'm a wordsmith
and you're a stupid shitposting cunt. Hope this helps.

But just so we're clear when you say you're "seeing signs around town"
and post one sign, again, you're usually lying. You're more likely to
see signs saying "stupid cunts not welcome."

"Intentionally posting fake news" is not a charge I'm going to make.
They're being stupid about it, as the pic doesn't pass the smell test.
I would have called the store to find out what was going on first.

Funny? You're the stupid piece of shit who literally thinks it's
possible to literally know what literally driving off a cliff is like.
That's some stupid fucking shit right there. And of course, being a
eunuch, you don't have the fucking balls to own up to your own bullshit.

Ouch. I'm decimated. And still not a misogynist. Let's look at the
tally: Eunuch Derp--eunuch, check. Misogynist, check. Too stupid to
use words correctly, check. White supremacist, check. Too eunuchy to
have a valid identity, check. Did I miss any?
