Omar has never to my knowledge ever advocated hurting, harming or killing Jews, if she did I would denounce her in a heartbeat. Indeed Omar has many liberal Jewish supporters, including Bernie Sanders.

I've never been to Philadelphia to see the original documents but a few years ago the ACLU was giving away free pocket size versions of the Constitution and Bill of Rights. I carried that copy around till I wore it out. It actually felt a little sacred, being sort of close to the founders and the set of principles that make American democracy.

Course with the war on terror and the Department of Homeland security guidelines, carrying that constitution would mark me as a potential domestic terrorist.

The original documents aren't in Philadelphia. They're in the National
Archives in Washington, DC. The Liberty Bell is in Philadelphia.

I am sure there are other reasons for wanting Ilan Omar off the foreign affairs committee, but those are all secondary.

The primary reason for the disdain of Omar is her foreign relation policies and is being driven by the Israel Lobby.

This is a prime example of the power of what has been called the 300 lb gorilla in the room, the Israel lobby.

Our government has been hijacked by the Israel Lobby.

The pro-Israel lobby has seriously made a mistake in this case because the Israel Lobby will be exposed and Omar's voice will be amplified along with hundreds of other Americans who have been voicing the same things while being labeled and smeared anti-Semitic. We are not.

As an agnostic, non-Muslim, moderately conservative, senior-aged red-neck hillbilly and constitution-loving American, I can only say God bless Omar and her courage .

"Supreme Court" for the branch of government that makes federal law.
