Seeing to the safety and well being of its people IS the responsibility
of govt. Of course, when you belong to the party of Trump, you can't be
responsible for anything, amirite? You can't even mention his fucking
name, that's how constipated you are. But I suggest keep on repeating
my first sentence here until you have a glimmer of comprehension of it.

Troon thinks it's the place of govt. to tell everyone they're on their
own. Except at the Texas border where they believe unlimited spending
is necessary to keep the "riff raff" out. It kind of makes sense if you
hit yourself in the head with a ball peen hammer multiple times.

Come on, we all know such Departments that try and take care of people

Well, nothing wrong with that. There's a lot to mock.

But Thanny isn't a great source for this information. The government
has no requirement to pay your way if you're a private citizen.

And privatizing government services is an idiotic idea because a private
company will always go for the big bucks. That's why America's
healthcare is one of the most expensive in the world, and has some of
the worst outcomes.

That isn't a theory, it's a fact.

> February 01, 2023 - Despite spending the most on healthcare, the United States has the worst health outcomes among high-income countries, including the lowest life expectancy at birth and the highest rate of people with multiple chronic conditions, a study from the Commonwealth Fund found.

> Healthcare spending per person in the US was almost two times higher than in Germany, the next closest country, and four times higher than in South Korea, which had the lowest spending. US healthcare spending includes expenditures for people in Medicaid, CHIP, Medicare, and military plans, as well as spending by those with private insurance and out-of-pocket spending.

> Life expectancy at birth in the US was 77 years in 2020, which is three years lower than the OECD average. Additionally, racial disparities are apparent in the country’s life expectancies. The average life expectancy in 2019 was 74.8 years for non-Hispanic Black individuals and 71.8 years for non-Hispanic American Indians or Alaska Natives, compared to 78.8 years for non-Hispanic White individuals.
>
> The US also had the highest rate of avoidable deaths in 2020, perhaps indicating a lack of timely and effective healthcare interventions. Similarly, the infant and maternal mortality rates were the highest in the US in 2020, at 5.4 infant deaths per 1,000 live births and 24 maternal deaths per 100,000 live births.

Shhh... don't tell Effa but gender dysphoria is a recognized mental
illness, too, which means the troons are not really changing genders,
contrary to all the leftist propaganda. Men cannot actually be women or
get pregnant or nurse babies or have periods-- again, contrary to both
'progressive' dogma and even U.S. government policy.

No, they're just unconstitutional. Nowhere in Article I, Section 8 is
the federal government given authority over health. Which is why during
the Wuhan Flu, Grandpa Badfinger had no power to do things like issue
lockdown orders and impose mask mandates. Only state governors could do
that.

Yet somehow we have an entire cabinet department devoted to regulating
things the federal government has no legal authority to regulate.

Hardly a common affliction. It was even in the name: Novel SARS-CoV-2.
Novel, new, never before seen.

> Smoking?

Another voluntary behavior whose most effective cure-- stopping (or not
starting to begin with-- people can avail themselves of at any time and
requires no taxpayer money to study or implement.

When it became a problem, same as Wuhan Flu-- hardly common.

Let private labs figure it out. The first one who does will make
mountains of money. No need for the government to fund it.

But are those the same mental aspect? I don't play mobile games or
gamble, but I'd guess that, when you're betting real dollars (or, say,
your kids' future) any possibility of boredom is remote. Whereas, most
adventure games are all about novelty, which they have strain to
maintain. Maybe the pigeons will tell us...

If those are your threshold criteria for womanhood, they're already
under assault and likely someday to fall entirely. You might want to

I think it depends on the game. If you are in a game with others like
poker or even blackjack where there is some skill involved then I'm
sure the game provides some degree of excitement that keeps the player
engaged even if they aren't winning. I was thinking more of the solo
games like slots or a mobile game. In those the repetition is bound to
provide boredom fairly quickly if you aren't winning. They've got this
down to a science on when a player is likely to walk away if they
don't win something.

Sure, someone like me is likely to walk away quickly (if I were ever
to gamble at the slots) even if I won but they are after those players
that can be engaged by that thought of winning. With mobile games it's
even worse because they provide lots of other ways to spend your money
like buying addition spins of the wheel for X dollars. The big money
in mobile games apparently comes from the whales, the big spenders and
not the small fry that only spend a few dollars at a time. I don't
know if that's the same with Vegas.

In general, private enterprise will seek to develop only such remedies
as can be patented and made exorbitant.

And 'common' here refers to afflictions that threaten much of the
population ...like smallpox, author of your upper-arm bleach spot.

And American taxpayer largesse to aid recipient number 2, is for the security of recipient number one.

Both are illegal under Symington Glenn Amendments and/or human rights violations.

Both #1 & #2 should be fuking flushed down the toilet.

AIPAC won't permit it. Your government has been hijacked to the point it is even illegal in the USA on US soil to boycott illegal settelements by an apartheid state with nuclear weapons.

Americans need to get mad as hell, stick their heads out the window and yell, "you're not getting aid anymore!"

Then let's focus on the slots (since that's apparently the pigeons'
preferred vice). The phenomenon that I think may be typical is the
little old blue-haired lady who comes in post-lunch with a bag of
quarters (subject to inflation since I last looked). Her goal, as far I
can judge, isn't the Triple Wowie Jackpot (though it'd make a good story
for later), or even necessarily to come out ahead. Rather, it's to
spend an afternoon engaged with the one-armed tease. And, under that
model, I think the little payouts you mention are parceled out just
often enough to leave the spell of her "relationship" undisturbed.

But I think she might be different from the guy we'd think of as an
'addicted gambler', where the risk *is* the reward. In my fanciful
scenario, that guy's peak high manifests only when "it's all on the
line" -- a peak to which the rest of his life can't possibly compare.
E.g., how many gamblers do we suppose hit "the big one" and then simply
go home and lead a newly well-funded existence? Whereas Ms. Blue-Hair
tomorrow would probably be just as happy at a movie with the girls.

(Now, I'm admittedly wondering if slots *are* a good place to study
harmful illness, or if they just happen to be all pigeons can play...)

Ignorant take, as expected. Would have been surprised if it wasn't.

Most non-asshole people recognize government funding is necessary, and
agree with it. (Decent people... not selfish self-centered assholes
like you.)

Pew Research: Around eight-in-ten U.S. adults say government investments
in medical research (80%), engineering and technology (80%) or basic
scientific research (77%) usually pay off in the long run. Only about
two-in-ten believe government funding in each of these areas is not
worth it (19% for medical research, 19% for engineering and technology
and 22% for basic scientific research).

https://www.pewresearch.org/short-reads/2018/07/03/americans-broadly-favor-government-funding-for-medical-and-science-research/

Like I said... the assholes like you are in the minority,

"It is possible to publish papers without any external funding;
observational research and experimental research with small sample size
can be conducted without external funding and can result in meaningful
papers like case reports, case series, observational study, or small
experimental study. However, when studies like multi-centric studies,
randomized controlled trial, experimental study or observational study
with large sample size are envisaged, it may not be possible to conduct
the study within the resources of department or institution and a source
of external funding is required."
