I've seen that one before. I think it's sppsd to be an anti-war movie.

I did not know there was a previous version!

Ha HA HA!
It funny because she's perceived as clean-cut!

There are multiple versions both before and after the 1961 classic.

These are all the versions I could find on Youtube in either trailer
form or in some cases the full movie. I'm sure there are more but this
seems enough. ;)

That’s the one I just watched on TCM where the host didn’t have any idea
what she was talking about.

That’s the four hour movie serial with the girl from mercury. I watched
that about a week ago now.

The classic Harryhausen version.

Crap as is pretty much everything he does. I think that’s the version
where Nemo just lives in a house on the island, and they make no attempt to
disguise the fact that it has central air conditioning.

That’s a horrid version that Ian likes because Gina Holden. It turns out to
be more Bermuda triangle than Jules Verne, with every craft ever lost all
piled up in the bay. There’s an outside possibility it’s the version where
Nemo lives in a house with central air. Also listed with a 2012 release
date.

By all rights, I should hate this version with its flying Nautilus but it’s
just goofy fun. Plus it’s got the pec pop of love! Probably Vanessa
Hudgens best film. Probably my second favorite version, and the most
likely I’d watch again if it came on. I sort of wish the whole series had
continued as intended.

Thanks for the list!

You did miss the 1973 version with Omar Sharif.

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0068748/?ref_=ext_shr_lnk

There’s a 1941 version by the godless Commies that’s the first one here I
haven’t seen. The descriptions make it sound like it’s fairly accurate to
the book.

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0034260/?ref_=ext_shr_lnk

There’s a 1995 Canadian television series

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0112089/?ref_=ext_shr_lnk

I’d be amazed if there isn’t one of those terrible Australian animated
versions.

Get a region-free DVD player! It will open up a whole
bunch of options for your viewing pleasure. (Often movies
are less expensive in non-Region 1 as a bonus.)

The prices ranges on region-free players is vast depending
on how fancy you want the options.

I found a basic region-free player for ~$40 for my German
neighbor who can now watch the home movies her relatives
send her of family gatherings and such. (The one of her
brother's 70th birthday party was hilarious.)

Yes, region free players are great! 4K discs are region free, but lots
of DVD/ blu-rays are still region locked. It's one of those things that
before I had one I'd constantly see movies I *wanted* to buy but
couldn't. But after getting one I don't care or think about what region
the disc is other than maybe having to import it which usually isn't a
big deal. Although it has become a bit of a headache now that Zavvi UK
stopped shipping to the U.S., but there are plenty of others that still
do like Arrow and of course Amazon.

DVDs, yes, but I have never seen a Blu-ray that was actually region locked
regardless of what it said on the box.
