It was a copy of the Sun “newspaper” iirc, and the line was simply a
throwaway quip - “Well that’ll never work. He’s gay and she’s an alien”.

That’s not “insertion of a homosexual agenda” in almost anybody’s book.

There are things that can be pointed to as expressing the diversity of
modern society in Doctor Who (though not “promoting a homosexual agenda”
unless you’re an apoplectic lunatic like some around here) but that’s
scarcely one of them.

None of that is in the show anywhere. The ability to have children (or even
to have sex) isn’t even contemplated in The Dalek Invasion of Earth,
although the idea that the Doctor and Susan aren’t human also wasn’t
contemplated at that time (yes, not from Earth, yes, from another time, but
not yet alien).

It’s hardly surprising that a 1964 serial didn’t take into account a line
from a 1995 movie or a concept that wasn’t fully introduced until 1969.
It’s a TV show, tying yourself into pretzel logic about it is just dumb.

take into account the possibility that David might be a Zygon
