Thanks, Rachel. I did a bit of writing earlier that night - not poetry, but about my poems - and I was in a writing mood. It was fun, and enjoyable; even if we'd talked about nothing (a la Seinfield), I'd still come away from the night feeling like I'd done something.

Then came the invasion from the planet of the apes, and I gradually wrote less and less. Looking back, I can see it was because the enjoyment was gone; if I came on the group, I'd have to devote myself to one of the flame wars they'd be starting, with a ton of lies te clear up, and stupidity to correct; and I'd end up with the opposite feeling, that I'd wasted a day and accomplished nothing. So, more and more often, I'd just ignore aapc and go work on something else.

Friday night was the first time I've enjoyed posting on the group in a long time. I enjoyed it, thinking of and telling those stories, and I'm glad you enjoyed them too.

Yes, and most of the prrsonal posts were used for attacks.
