Does anyone know the source of these, which all seem to have to do with
pedophilia and other assorted corruptions, usually mentioning Berlusconi
and perhaps other Italian politicians. I don't know Italian to any
degree, and in any case I've just deleted them, but I guess I'm curious
what sort of whacko is posting them, and wishing he would just go away.

The author accuses Berlusconi and other alleged Mafiosi and Freemasons in Italy of money laundering, pedophilia, etc. etc. He praises those who brought charges against them. and those who refused to cooperate with them, especially Andreas Nigg (J. Safra Sarasin Bank, Zurich).

Go for it. How many years have you been reading that real newsreaders are so much better and easy to install and use?

You will likely have to be a few dollars each month for a service provider, so if the reason for using Google groups is an economic one, I apologize for the remark.

I have Thunderbird and I'm trying to use it to access googlegroups.com, but it times out.
Maybe I'm misunderstanding something. I use googlegroups because it's the only
way I know how to access this group. I get emailed digests but I'd prefer to use Thunderbird.
If anyone can give me ideas about how to accomplish this I'd be most grateful.

I used to use Thunderbird with Eternal September as the free news source
until TB on my computer became corrupted and seemingly impossible to
repair and access to ES was compromised in some weird way.
I followed a friend's advice and paid the paltry one-time fee for
BlockNews and downloaded 40tude as a reader.
Later, the problems with Thunderbird were resolved and I now use it with
Blocknews as I have paid for the latter.
I don't recommend 40tude as a reader.

I have another downloading program that I checked this morning and
apparently 5 Italian posts arrived today and 3 yesterday. I saw only 2
this morning before clicking ignore. I think the idiot posts with the
same headers but changes his address.
