You don't need to. They do, and it's their web site.

That isn't what he said, unless you hallucinate that "buying the
contractual liabilities" is excatly the same thing as "buying the
company."

Bumass.

Bankruptcy is a different thing entirely, and not what happened
here.

And most contracts can't be arbitrarily modified without the
consent of both parties. Unless the contract *says* "the publishing
rights can be sold without the royalty obligations going with
them," then they can't be without the author's consent.

Only if the original ocntact allows it.

And a contract that says the publisher can sell the publishing
rights, with no ongoing payments to the ocmpany, therefore no
ongoing royalties to the author, is a prime candidate for being
ruled unconsiouable, and rightly so.

What the courts will determine, if they ever see it (which is
unlikely, since Disney will pay rather than face that kind of
publicity), is what the original contact says, and possibly whether
or not its enforceable.

It should be all that hard to write a script to automate it. Or, if
you have access to the server config, do an automatic redirect.

Also, if you want to be pedantic, and you do, someone should point
out the difference between encryption and encoding. They are *not*
the same thing.

Probably not, and I'm a software guy, so I'm sure I'll figure it out.

Why are you specifying the protocol at all? Use relative links:

Every time you write:

<a href='http://columbiaclosings.com/wordpress/?p=18195'>

instead, write:

<a href='/wordpress/?p=18195'>

The browser at the other end will fill in the implied information. Starting it
off with the / means to start in your webserver's root directory; leaving it
off says to start in the current page's directory.

A find and replace of http://columbiaclosings.com to null should work
nearly everywhere. A google of "wordpress turn absolute links to relative"
might be helpful.

If you have other guff in there, you might want to do "find . -name
'*.htm' -o -name '*.html' -o -name '*.php'" or the like.

Very true, and none of it is specific to the current project at
hand. That should all be done on a regular basis even if not

Welcome to rasw.

In the future, it might be helpful to start a post with a note on
whether you're looking for advice leading to a solution, or just
wanting a sympathetic ear to vet to. Cuz you know everyone here
will jump to conclusions otherwise.

Proof that Alan Baker is a liar and a fool, and even stupider than
Lynn:

(May 2019 total for people arrested for entering the United States
illegally is over 132,000 for just the southwest border.)

FWIW, my own web hosting vendor allows me to automagically redirect
http://crcomp.net with a single setting. And it's probably a universal
setting applicable to all incoming GET requests, regardless if they
originate with an embedded http://crcomp.net link or not.

You need to take a closer look at Apache redirection to either prove or
disprove my hunch:

https://www.w3docs.com/snippets/apache/how-to-redirect-a-web-page-with-apache.html

Web hosting vendors for grownups, who don't need training wheels, tend
to allow clients free access to a domain's .htaccess file.

Danke,
