If I had heard of the incident, I forgot completely about it.

It turns out that the David Horowitz who was held hostage was
a consumer advocate, who, as a result of the incident, has campaigned
against realistic toy guns.
Meanwhile, the gunman, who was a mentally-ill person who sought to
have a statement read on the air, only got three years of "intensively
supervised" probation.

He wasn't _another_ David Horowitz my Google search turned up,
who started out as a left-wing radical who appeared to support
violence - but who changed to a thoughtful and intelligent conservative
because of the still unsolved murder of Betty Van Patter while working
for the Black Panthers.

Unfortunately, though, he didn't _stay_ a thoughtful and intelligent
conservative, but instead has moved back to a political stance
harmful to America, but from the other side... as a Trump supporter.

It looked pretty shabby from the camera side as well. Just didn't show
on the NTSC and color TVs of the day.

I remember enjoying that radio show as well so looked online and it
appears that there are many episodes available to stream or download.
